Heh. Well, a couple of thoughts here. First, it's probably obvious that Iga would not want to stay married to Bloodstained forever. Poor Yacht Club Games are stuck with their well-liked yet probably not especially profitable Shovel Knight for literally years after its release, MN9 was delayed forever for the same reason (and needs another year of work, though it probably won't get it), and Bloodstained has no shortage of goals that need to eventually be met, during which time important dev man-hours can't be spent on the next venture. Realistically, nothing even half as interesting or addictive as Harmony of Despair will come of the multiplayer, not because the devs would disagree about how awesome it would be, but for the reasons I've outlined. But, yes, the concepts you propose would be pretty great.

On the other hand, although I recognize the appeal of Roguelike dungeons, I favor the legitimacy of a handcrafted experience by far, and I would definitely hope that any expansive longevity-oriented mechanics that may hypothetically be implemented would be applicable to the true game first and the Roguelike experience only if time allowed.

Yeah. I think that would truly be the only issue with level grinding in the demo. I don't actually think it would take as long as some people believe cause I mean after around level 10-12 you can kill Vepar without having to wait for your MP to recharge, and higher levels make it so you can finish Vepar in much shorter work. (AKA Amys cast)

Yeah tonight I plan to restart my computer and try it again. I think all the background items being up might have had something to do with it; I've never had issues with my PC crashing before.

For what it's worth, and take this merely as an anecdotal citation, I've only had Bloodstained crash on me once with the dreaded Fatal Error, once and once only. That was back when I first installed and ran the demo for the very first time and this is an acknowledged bug. That said, and contrary to our concern and fears, the likelihood of a crash is probably low enough that a marathon session is not entirely out of question.

When I do get around to revisiting this grind, I plan to take screen caps after each level up once I reach the 30s, just in case.

Glad I decided to screen cap every level starting at 30. The salt in the wound is that I was only one more Vepar kill away from 36 too...

NOTE: I have the Buer shard equipped so that's +2 to CON. So base stats are 33/30/38/36/15 (STR/CON/INT/MND/LCK)

I decided it was time I uploaded my notes on the stat increases. I could finally finish the INT table thanks to LeoLeWolferoux those stats you found made it so I finally could find the pattern to INT.

IGA will probably make some changes to the stats in the final release of the game.

Edit: I will update the stat table and my comment as more information is uncovered. Thanks again to LeoLeWolferoux who is working hard at uncovering the level stats and confirming the predicted stats

Final edit: I finally understood why I couldn't find the pattern to CON before, and I feel really stupid for not seeing it before. The pattern changed after level 15, so I after I started comparing everything after that point it all matched up. CON was the only stat that this happened to so I just didn't realize it. Now I just need to wait and see if the leveling can go past level 99.

Viftech, that's a swank chart you put together there, even in my favorite colors! Thanks for compiling that for us!

Some loose observations regarding the EXP curve: it's easy to see the EXP curve trajectory will see us go well past 1 million total EXP at Level 99. Using Level 40 as a base of estimation, we can very roughly estimate using these figures the following:

- Approximately 238,600 current total
- 18,600 to next level (leaving room for 59 more levels of growth)
- 18,600 x 59 = 1,097,400 + 238,600 = 1,336,000 total EXP @ Level 99 if every level from 40 onwards retained the same TNL requirements.

Of course the above are very linear calculations not accounting for the obvious increase in TNL EXP. I'm wondering if there is a formula for how much more EXP is needed to the next level over the last, or if it's an arbitrated curve.

Also, some things to note: (RANDOM FUN FACTS!)

-At LV 36, it costs 11 AMYS to kill, 10 AMYS at LV 39, and 9 AMYS to kill Vepar at LV 45

-Dullahammer has exactly 40 HP

-The screen has occasionally flashed several different colors for me. (Red, white, green, and even the same hue of blue as Miriam's mana bar)

-If jumping towards the left ledge in the room before Vepar, (the one that leads outside to where Dullahammer resides) occasionally you'll land on an 'invisible' platform that you can walk on suspended in air, and when jumping on it, makes no sound even as Miriam's feet touch the ground...

-The music stopped playing for me around LV 35. This really sucks because before I at least had the music to keep me from going insane whilst doing this, but now all I hear is the storm outside...

-Sometimes, on very rare occasion, if you walk into Vepar's area, even if you had left the room and came back, you'll very rarely hear Vepar's cry. (The one when he dies) This really sucked because I had my earbuds in with the volume turned waaay up so I could hear when the AMYS struck Vepar, which then gave me the pleasure of having Vepar damn near eviscerate my eardrums. B-(

So yeah. So far so good. Though it's become DREADFULLY boring since at higher levels it takes more LV'ing to make up the damage of one AMY, thus reducing the amount you need to kill Vepar. *Sigh*

Ahaha. yes. I think sanity permitting is the biggest piece here. I've got an HP Spectre X360, so I've got a pretty nice laptop. We'll see how it goes, it could still crash at any given moment, so I'm not gunna be like "PREPARE FOR LV 99, SCRUBLORD!" ahaha
