Honestly they have high rez textures but that's about it. No facial movement whatsoever. The lips slightly move and that's it. For video game standards it's pretty shoddy, but for pachinko, maybe it's amazing idk.

Its more the combination of technical wizardry you see spread out between the different machines than this particular one, but then again all these things probably do is show strings of fmvs so that may be outpaced by the level of detail you can get in when the machine doesnt have to do much more than play chapters on a dvd

Not surprised Konami made an MGS pachinko machine since it's part of their new business strategy/focus. The graphics looked great at first, but once I noticed the lips barely moving everything felt off. The backgrounds remind me of a matte painting as well. I'm surprised the trailer glossed over the most important character from the original game.  |

It seems like a regular thing a business would do nowadays; they're trying to promote themselves, gain some visibility, and give their new audience something to actively look for the next time they go to an arcade. If Konami fans get angry about the MGS3 pachinko machine, we'd just be giving them free publicity for something we probably weren't going to play anyway. To me, it's not good or bad. It's just... neutral. Possibly chaotic neutral. But neutral nonetheless. |

and its a perfectly reasonable and lucrative business move, but its a move that requires shoving all its existing fans into the rain and slamming the door shut, and i think its extremely shortsighted of them cause if some law changes and destroys the pachinko business or we reach a mobile bubble and it pops, theyve now burned their old bridges while market forces and politics burn the rest
