I'd love for Miriam to wield a magic violin /w bow as a dual wielded weapon. When not bashing monsters with it, standing still, she could chime in with the soundtrack. Or she could defeat enemies with the violin's magical sound-waves. :3

I had this idea for a unique weapon a long time ago and, eh, why not suggest it here? Originally it was a pair of giant robotic crab claws that attached to a person's waist that could be controlled by joysticks and acted like some exoskeleton arms, but in this game they would probably be modified a bit as giant floating demon hands/claws (maybe with the forearms still attached) that could be used to punch enemies and grab smaller ones and use them as weapons to slam down on other enemies or throw them like projectiles. It would a weapon that ideally has a lot of power to it and even more range, but is extremely slow. Basically, imagine the disembodied arms/hands in the pictures below as weapons and you get an idea of what I'm going for: Of course, they wouldn't look like those but you understand what I'm getting at. In the game it would look like giant skeleton arms, the disembodied arms of bosses, etc.

In the game it would look like giant skeleton arms, the disembodied arms of bosses, etc. So... you get to keep a (decaying) part of a boss... and use it as a weapon?! I like it!

If they include it in the game I would hope for variations that don't look like they were ripped off of a boss, but that's the basic gist of it.

Here's another idea from me. Bourreau ( "Executioner" in French) A dark sword that seems to instill evil impulses in those who wield it. It is said that the soul of a malevolent demon (or a murderous human) inhabits this sword, and it has been used to execute the guilty & innocent alike. ^ Attribute(s): Dark & Slow
Special Attack: "Miasma" ~ Release a creeping cloud of dark energy from the tip of the blade which absorbs surrounding light (making the room a bit darker) and inflicts the "Slow" status on susceptible enemies that come in contact.
(I'd personally like it to be somewhat-similar in appearance to the "Dark Sword" from Final Fantasy XII)

Ooh, I hadn't noticed until now that Cale posted the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegār as part of his list of weapons! demiurgos and I were talking about a few types of swords in the Shout-Box yesterday, so I'll just post them here at the suggestion of crocodile (since I seem to have forgotten to do so already). - Sickle-Swords (such as the "Khopesh" of Egyptian origin; also includes Falx, Falcatas, & Shotels) (One example, found via Google Image Search) - Sword Breakers (both the European Late Renaissance & Chinese versions; quite literally used to snap/break or bend the blade of an opponent's sword.) (The Chinese version's tip is very sharp and tapered, and the edges are blunt but perfect for breaking an opponent's sword. I am not sure exactly when these supposedly "ancient" weapons were invented in Chinese history...but that may have been sometime after steel was first used for swords during the Later Han Dynasty.)

I had an idea for a weapon way back when... the weapons were these disks, but for this game I would think it would be better as glowing orbs that attack anything that comes close to the player (I know been done before right?) but the trick with these orbs are, you can find more and add it to your main weapon (or it can be attached to a shield or piece of armor). The player would have to find specific stones or graves (the orbs might be ghosts) and attach it to the shield or armor.
...I think it should be an ineffectual item until the player finds more orbs or souls.

I've got an idea for another Joke weapon, though I'm sure it isn't quite as silly or fun of an idea as an Umbrella or Feather-Duster. A Glass Sword. That's right, a sword literally made entirely of glass. Not magical "stained-glass" crystals. My idea is that it would follow the "glass-cannon" concept. It's extremely sharp, but brittle (probably a late-game joke weapon then). Special Attack? It shatters! (But you don't lose the weapon, just gather up all the shards of glass!) Source

I think the design of elder scrolls style glass weapons should fit pretty well in with the alchemic crystal theme. We've seen it as a suggestion in this thread before, right? Otherwise, "single served" weapons would be both awesome and annoying at the same time. Maybe a sword that breaks after a set number of swings? The broken parts could then be used for crafting more durable stuff.

well if they include single use categories like item 1 or bomb in sotn the glass sword could work very well, just put it in the appropriate category and do make it a glass cannon, massive damage but single target and one use

The idea that I have might not be good at all in Bloodstained game But I would a weapon that can do shield-breaking, like Cyan Pile from Accel World I don't know the proper names for this, so this is the closest picture that I can think of to represent my idea for Bloodstained Since Bloodstained is in the early Industrial Era, it would be cool to see this weapon as a prototype steampunk style, and Miriam will the first one to use it and using this weapon will reduce the stamina bar of Miriam, if they will put stamina bar in the system, or just a cooldown for the weapon itself I hope this will piqued the interest of IGA to implement such ideas

I would prefer the first picture one though, Zangetsu will be the one who gives Miriam the weapon

Ok I don't know if this was submitted before or not but what about toys? Like tops, yo-yo's or even kendamas some can be joke weapons but some should have some awesome or flashy move... maybe if used on certain enemies, will make them do something, die a certain way or drop a special item.

SourceI absolutely love this idea. I mean it doesn't even need to be a joke. Maybe it's a magical sword that re-assembles. Like it shatters and the pieces of glass fly into the enemy for additional damage and then kinda return back into form. Think of it like the fire lightning specials of SOTN where the aura of whatever element gets thrown out, something like that but with glass.
