I dont know if it was mentioned here before but I like the concept of two weapons when used together get an unique handling style or effect.

I'd like to see a yo-yo like weapon. We're talking oversized cord, with a giant sawblade-type yo-yo head. You could tap the button for something approximately like a whip attack, but give it some weight and momentum where if you hold down the button and then press on the d-pad, you can rapidly swing it around back behind and above you before it returns. If you want to get really fancy, allow "tricks" where a combination of swings has an auto-finisher; say you go forward, behind, forward, behind, and she then goes into a whirlwind animation. I've always liked this weapon type when it showed up in other games like Startropics, The Goonies 2, and Kirby Super Star. I also hope there's a whip that causes enemies to explode when you kill them with it, damaging other enemies right next to them.

(I've actually been meaning to post about this next idea since December last year.) One relatively 'mundane' (yet exotic) type of weapon I'd like to see in Bloodstained is the " Zaghnol"; basically a type of battle-axe that originated in the Mughal Empire. ^ The Mughal Empire was at its height in the 18th Century, and Bloodstained is set in the late 18th Century, so... appropriate? The Zaghnol is a rather unique type of "axe" in that it is essentially a modified mining tool (pickaxe). The shape of its blade gave it the name zaghnol, or "crow's beak" in Persian(?), and both edges are sharp. It would be almost as versatile as swords, if you ask me. Of course, it's on the right. The weapon on the lower left is a Katar dagger, I believe. A Zaghnol was actually previously seen in Curse of Darkness:

Not sure if I posted this before but I hope they put an importance to sound with weapons. Part of the reason SOTN's special weapons ruled were not just due to the visuals of them but the sounds as well. A good example is Alucards sword, had a very bassy deep slash sound and in Dawn OF Sorrow when you play as Alucard in the bonus mode, the alucard sword has a normal slash sound instead. Takes a cool sword and makes it infinitely less cool. 'Twas that moment I realized how much a sound effect matters.

I would be so cool of the game took the myth of the Muramasa and made it part of the game. The sword would do damage to Miriam if she doesn't strike a taget.

Never heard this before, and I doubt it's true. Swordsmen probably drew their katana all the time in order to practice technique.

I hope that if shields come back, that the Shield Rod will also come back. (Of course, they would have to make it a litte bit more balanced, because in SotN, that thing just tore through bosses.) Just don't make a shield like the Alucard Shield. Or rather, make a shield that looks like it, but doesn't make you practically invincible when you use it in conjunction with the rod. Btw, it wasn't the rod itself that was OP, if you remember. It was the special ability.

Shard Rod Fuels by using shards when equiped, will trigger an elemental attack based out of the last or most used shards in between attacks.
Example 1: Miriam use Morte Cannon Shard (Fire blast) on enemy while having the Shard Rod equiped. Now she strikes with the Shard Rod on her next enemy. The Shard Rod becomes fire (animation fx) and doubles the Morte Cannon Shard output + original damage.
Example 2: Miriam uses Amy, Morte Cannon, Amy before striking with her Shard Rod, it now picks up Amy elemantal damage, doubles it and adds the original damage of the Shard Rod on top of it. And gives a new animation / color on the attack.
Cursed Rod Similar, but use ether in its every attack, until ether is gone it has magical attributes which are gone if ether reach zero. Making the damage output far less.
