So I've realized we don't have this topic, and with the release of Bravely Second the ever expanding need for a good friend collection rises as it often does, and so we should have a topic to share our friend codes and add each other, for anyone who has a 3DS. Friends can be added regardless of region, though certain games may have restrictions (none that I can remember). I don't think region is a concern at all. I will update this post with everyone's friend codes, so people will be able to look back and easily add others. They will be in order of being posted and so you can figure out after a long time has passed at what point you'd need to continue adding codes. Just as a reminder to everyone, adding friends on the 3DS is a two way effort. One person adding another does nothing for either except fill up one persons friend card slots. does the friend code help on a per cart basis or a per friend basis? When you register a friend, that friend is registered to your system. It will affect any game you play on your system that utilizes friends (which is quite a few). As an example, Bravely Default uses the progress of your friends to help you out while you play the game as well. If you want to utilize this in Bravely Default you would try to add someone who has made a lot of progress in the game. Bravely Second is out now and follows the same structure. If you wanted to reap the same benefits from your friend, you don't have to add him again as he's already friends with you on your system. You could also visit him in Animal Crossing New Leaf without adding him again. I'm not sure how it works on playing Nintendo DS games on the 3DS. Regular DS utilized friend codes on a per-game basis, so you had to add people for each game. |

I'm putting the forum names on there. You don't need your mii name for people to add you and it automatically updates the name when you do, and the @ function makes it easy to see who's friend code it is by clicking it to see their profile.
That said adding the mii names to the list could be productive, to make it easier to tell who you've added. At the same time, mii names can be changed rather easily and so your own friend list won't always be accurate with this one. What do you guys think?

Using the forum names makes sense. I added my Mii name because it's different from my forum name. You could always do both, like "(current Mii name: Drax)" sort of thing, but it's not a big deal either way. I just didn't want people to think they had added the wrong person.  I can't get through my hotel's wifi verification on the 3DSs, so it'll be a couple more days before I can add folks back. |
