My core issues is at times, it has a lack of direction, especially as a Metroidvania. Usually Castlevania games in this formula have clearly memorable spots where your abilities get put to use, and while that is somewhat true here, a good deal of the game has more of a Dark Souls design in that you get items that seem cryptic. There are a few parts in the game where you are expected to do or solve something and the game doesn't make this truly clear, and this includes obtaining items. One place I was stuck in didn't make it clear what I needed until I asked someone, then I got it. I promise many people will fall into this blunder with this specific case. Sounds exactly like Simon's Quest, and I didn't per se mind how that game was, so should be fine ;p So I played it a bit last week and thought it was pretty good myself. Going to try getting back into it/fitting it in. I also tried Lecarde 1, which feels like a cross between Haunted Castle and SNES Dracula X to me. The only thing that somewhat bothers me about Lecarde 2 so far is maybe just how some of the colors are - the drab yellow/greens of the MC and also the Death-looking creature just struck me as...ugly, unfortunately. True, yellows and greens haven't been used much before in 'vania protagonists, but when they are, they're a bit brighter at least (SotN Maria). |

Lc2 run fine on my old p4 system (pentium 4 preshot 3ghz ht, 1.5gb ram, aiw 2006 ati 9600le in optimized version for retropcs is very good.

Hi everyone! We are glad you are enjoying the game! Thanks for promo spot Xombiemike! I'm dismayed at hearing the bug you encountered. I haven't heard that issue from anyone else yet and the game has had many thousands of downloads, so hopefully it is an isolated issue. I thought the same about Efrain Lecarde's clothes but while playing I've gotten used to it and I think it looks okay now. |

Thanks for the hard work! And thanks for spreading word! Lately, lots of fan-games for lots of games, started appearing and many of them are of great quality; even going so far as to rival their origins, in terms of awesomeness, sometimes... I will definitely give those two proposed here, a go. Besides, LeCarde has always been a favorite of mine in Castlevania universe; both Eric in Genesis and in that Wii beat em up.

Thanks! Lecarde Chronicles 2 is a great game. I was just talking about it with a streamer in Twitch named Eatitup. He loves all Mig games.
He also showed me Bloodletting. I wonder if that project is dead. It's not Mig, but it's Castlevania Dungeon related.

I'm quietly building up a portfolio of art and design concepts, and the creatively ambitious "spirit" of what you've done with Lecarde Chronicles 2 is the kind of game project I'm seeking to realize at some point. I've gushed about what Mig has achieved with the Lecarde entries (http://bloodstainedfanforums.com/thread/2371/lecarde-chronicles-1-2-bloodstained), but I have to say that as I dig deeper into the OST, it's amazing also. You've achieved a very interesting mix in the sense that it has the right amount of callbacks to firmly establish it in the universe of Castlevania, but it also has a "heavy, macabre, solemn" vibe that encapsulates the sense of the gritty struggle and the darker imagery this game goes for, which leans more toward the "horror" of, say, Castlevania IV or Castlevania 64 than more of the "chilling beauty and elegance" route that usually dominates most of IGA's entries. It's hard to put a unique yet fitting stamp on a series that's been covered so much, but you've done it. (Much in the same way that the composer behind the brilliant Mega Man X Corrupted in-progress fan game OST has.) The feelings I'm getting from all this...it feels like a full-on official release more than a "fan game." I've really been moved by this project, and I haven't even gotten to play it properly yet. (No offense to the forum's namesake, but I've been more emotionally thrilled by what I've seen/heard of Lecarde 2 than Bloodstained so far). I think I will probably have to play it at some point. (As I've explained previously in the other thread, the only reason I haven't is because of a bad experience that messed up a previous computer of mine.) Anyway, bravo! I look forward to seeing what else comes of this project. |

It was really important to me to create a soundtrack with its own unique identity while honoring the legacy of Castlevania music. It was something I was very conscious of and nervous about. I wondered if fans would except my original music as Castlevania music as well. I'm very elated to see that people are enjoying the ost! I've been a musician in rock bands since I was a kid, but this was my first time creating a complete ost for a video game aside from a handful of tracks I made for LC1. But I really enjoy the work! I'm looking forward to writing much, much more! |

Truly a great game! I love it and i ultimately managed to surpass the difficulty and progress all the way, to the castle appearing. But i am stuck for good... I am more of the "casual" Castlevania players, not the hardcore ones, who were able to beat even the most difficult titles... Plus, absence of level ups and inability to get more buff with other ways than better equipment alone, stopped me dead in my tracks... Newer traps are impossible for my skills. Probably from this point onward, i might watch the longplay or something. I am borderline to abandon it, boy it's hard! But a real masterpiece; have to admit, someone who doesn't even know "Castlevania", might mistake it for a commercial, canon entry to the series.
