Finally watched romsy's SotN run last night. That took an inordinate amount of practice, guys. Wow. Only even possible, I'd say, due to already having the background of being a speedrunner with muscle memory for several of the techniques. Very impressive. I hope he wasn't let down so much by the shop issue, because it was no less amazing. If anything, that just played more into the integrity of the whole thing and showmanship of mostly keeping his composure.

SGDQ is underway! VERY SOON, a donation incentive prize during SotN is signed Bloodstained concept art, provided by Fangamer. Well, that was a pretty incredible week. Did anybody catch the final tally? I had to go to bed before BotW run started and they were above 1.5M.
I was a bit sad about the Twitch chat room, though -- it was about 95% fast spam the entire time, I turned it off for most of the time.

Great, great work Here are my favorites (out of what I've seen): -Crash Bandicoot: Warped -F-Zero GX -Donkey Kong Country 2 race -Donkey Kong Country (reverse boss order) -Sonic Adventure 2: Battle hero story race -Sonic Mania -Mega Man X race -Metal Gear Solid -Gargoyles -Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance Maxim all bosses -Castlevania: Symphony of the Night zero bosses -Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones -Resident Evil 7 (had one of the best runners in the event!) -Everything from the Ninja Turtles and Battletoads block -Yoshi's Island race -Superman 64 -Arabian Nights -Taiker -Super Monkey Ball -Mega Man 1-3 relay race -Bloodborne (ladders!) -Link to the Past randomizer (this one was my favorite) -Super Dram World 2 |
