System Shock 3. Never say never...
As for my list: - A Final Fantasy 6 remake in the same style as the PSP FF4 remake.
- Xenogears remake without the half-baked second disc.
- Jovian Chronicles mech combat sim
- A D&D game with a story as good as BG2 and turn based combat as good as the fan-fixed Temple of Elemental Evil
- Mass Effect Trilogy update to bring 1&2 into 3's graphics and mechanics.
- Fallout sequel in the same style as 1&2.

Damn Canopus, now those are some ideas. I beat the shit out of LoLS. Modern Wizardry stuff is pretty good, I like how they tend to keep a little of the classic fantasy flavor usually, but it does make me laugh how folks complain about how hard they are. You can SAVE ANYWHERE in the new games lol. I have the most experience with SNES Wiz 5, which...lol. The harshest of deaths in that game. Love it. I bought the complete game from a local store recently...only SNES game I have atm. And yes to all those other things. I think I did hear something about a new Langrisser? Legend of Dragoon 2 wooooah I'd never even considered that to be A Thing. Wow. That would sure be a ridiculous Sony surprise. Wild ARMs, man...I really, really like WA3. Do any of you guys have the Englsih vocal versions of the opening/save songs? I would really like those, can't find them online anymore. SaGa: Have you heard about that new 3DS game that's essentially a SaGa game? It's called Legend of Legacy. Sounds fairly similar, but I can't say as I haven't played seen it in action. SF1 was so different in its day, I liked it. I think there's even a new Seiken Densetsu project. A friend of mine and I were talking about some kind of Mana news recently, can't recall details... Castlevania Warriors. Man, I wouldn't mind that at all. Considering that's one of the few actual directions that console/anime franchises are going in now, I could actually see that happening. For those who like LoLS, I implore you to try labyrinth of touhou, one of my personal fave dungeon crawlers, I don't hate Touhou, but I love that game wayyy more than any of the official touhou games... so if you don't consider yourself a Touhou fan, don't let that be a reason not to. Though you should know that the 'attack' command in that game is meant to be like your least used 'ability' for any character by far. There's a part 2 as well, but I prefer the balance and strategy in the first game more (2nd is still a damn fine game though). Oh yeah, that and evasion... just pretend it doesn't exist, cuz it doesn't, so don't waste skillpoints on it. Speaking of SaGa games though, there's also genius of sappheiros as well, my 2nd fave touhou game =P, the final boss in that game was an accomplishment to finally beat. Even harder than arsenal in that gameboy game. If you don't think arsenal is hard, consider how hard it would be when you're a kid before the internet was born and you don't have the 7-sword or excalibur (or maybe I did, I forget), etc... and was stuck with a weakass monster party member because the rocket science that is monster breeding was a complete mystery back then... oh yeah, not to mention the 'level up' mechanics were also a complete mystery. It's really surprising just how much knowledge of game mechanics can really make a game easier or harder =P. Finally, regarding Seiken Densetsu. I'm not 100% sure if I'm thinking the same thing, but I think I know what you're talking about...and the news is unfortunately not promosing. It's a new SD game that is SUPPOSED to be more like the 'old' ones everyone likes, and they even re-hired the old music composer!... What can go wrong?... It's going to be a bloody mobile game, that's what. @scars Everyone hates on Xenogears disc 2 but I actually thought disc2 was the highlight of that game... don't get me wrong, I can see how it was rushed with the lack of playable content and the huge amounts of sitting down reading text roll past the screen with that cross bouncing back and forth, but what WAS written was actually better than during disc1 I felt.

Street Fighter 5 is nothing like the alpha series. I will NEVER be convinced otherwise. Therefore, Alpha 4 is still on my list.
I'm glad I didn't have to come here and say Indivisible.
An M rated TMNT game by Rocksteady and character designs by someone NOT at Rocksteady
At first, I was heavily against this. Reason? I never liked the art design in the Arkham series, and thinking of the Turtles and other characters with similar character designs makes me dry heave. Take what the Arkham games did right, get Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman back to write, keep the original idea of the Turtles being a dry parody of Daredevil, and watch the magic happen. (I am excited about the rumor of Platinum games handling a TMNT game like this though)
Folklore 2
Like Folklore, but more production values. Think of the colors.
An Open World Cobra video game
Razorfist was right, this game should be made. If you've ever seen the Stallone film "Cobra", you'll agree with me too.
A remade, FINISHED Xenogears
Xenogears was great, but the second half was completely rushed, completely unfinished, and unable to fully realize its ideas. Go back, do it again, keep the cinematic feel of the camera(which might be my favorite use of camera in a Playstation 1 title), and make it HD. I'll throw my money at you faster than you can blink.
A remade, FINISHED Devil May Cry 4
It's physically painful for me to admit this sometimes. Half of the game in the first DMC4 was cut. Then they had a second chance in Special Edition and only added 3 overpowered characters. I would have loved to fight Gilgamesh or Lucifer. I would have loved to journey through hell. I would have loved to know what sort of weapon Berial would have turned into. I would have loved for Nero to get styles and a devil trigger where he actually transforms into a demon rather than getting a stand. Yes. STYLES. Like Straight up Punching and Kicking, a purely Sword Stlye, and more. Though now that doesn't seem to be happening. Perfect.....but hey they can still do it for DMC5....*sigh*
A new Cyberbots game
Forget that devil girl, JIN needs to come back.

Did you hear about the TMNT game Platinum is allegedly going to make? That should be pretty good. I hope it's like a 3D version of the old arcade games lol.
Why exactly is there a Touhou-everything? I don't really get the deal with that. The fans are just that crazy about it? lol. I'll have to look up that game. Another one I heard about recently looked good, what was it...Sword of the Stranger? No, I think that's an anime haha...but it was something like that, I think. Did someone here post it?
I liked Xenogears and DMC4 just how they were. Could have been more, but Xenogears was already -a lot-. Nero having more gameplay variety would have been cool, but what he could do that was there was so satisfying that I didn't feel like anything was missing. Getting the grabs on the bosses was the best thing ever, similar to getting zandatsu/blade mode on MG: Rising bosses. Kamiya just understands satisfying gameplay.
lol @ another franchise going mobile. There another one goes...
Oh and yeah, SF5 isn't really an Alpha game at all. Would they have to *gasp* make new 90s sprites?

What exactly mean by alpha-game? The only thing 'alpha' I know about street fighter was 'street fighter alpha 2'.. and that's the only alpha one I know so I don't really think that's quite what you mean...and even then I don't really know what made alpha2 different than other street fighters of its time other than having prequel cast and seemed to promote combos more than the original game which unlike future fighting games didn't really have big combos youc ould use easily. I don't know much about fighting games though since that's like the only genre I don't particularly like.
As for why there is Touhou everything, I don't think anyone can say 100% certainly but I just think of it as the Japanese version of My little pony. It's important to note though that the music behind the games in touhou is by far more enjoyed by users than the actual games. This is known because every year they have some giant poll with hundreds of thousands of participants, and iirc like only 12% of them play the games, and 80%+ listen to the music. So what happens is there are many 'circles' (basically bands only they do more than just music, they might dabble with art... or games too) who make their own versions of the music, and as they grow they expand to making games or other content too (or if they are more game inclined then music they may start there).
Unlike my little pony however, it's important to know that Japanese laws are far more open to fan-made materials. So they can get away with marketing all kinds of touhou fan-stuff.. I imagine my little pony would have MLP everything x1000 too if NA laws weren't so strict about using IPs and whatnot...not to mention Touhou has an age advantage.

Alan Wake 2: implying it will happen. Remedy is just trolling us, I'm sure.
Total Annihilation: Kingdoms 2 or a sequel of it: The developer is dead, so no more. Hell, even a HD edition would be enough.
F.E.A.R 3: It doesn't really exist.
Warcraft 4: Blizzard should just drop WoW already, god dammit.

What I mean by Alpha game is a numbered game in that series. Obviously, there's not just Alpha 2, there's an "Alpha" and Alpha 3 too. A2 is more or less what A1 was trying to be from the start and A3 is more of its own thing; the first game as far as I can remember that allowed the choice of different styles to play your character. Yeah, combos were more of a thing in those games, but I think the main difference is the art style and presentation. They're considerably more anime-styled, and a lot of anime fighting games to come were influenced by them a good bit, like Melty Blood, as it happens.
The Alpha games had a fun, hype feeling to them. SF3 is more on the jazzy, smooth, hip hop chill side. SF4 is relatively cartoony and silly. SF5 seems to be more serious in tone, but accessible to play.

Now that I think on it. There is one game I would LOVE to play.
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor <insert number here>: Christmas Edition
Let me explain. I have no doubts that Atlus will return to the Devil Survivor series at some point. What I mean with this suggestion is I want to play an SMT game in the days leading up to and including Christmas as the finale.
Why the DeSu (I know, bad pun) series? It's mainly one of the key features in that series; Time management. The DeSu games takes place in the span of a few days and with SMT's, shall we say, liberties with moral alignment, you can make some pretty awesome stories if handled with care.

Oh and yeah, SF5 isn't really an Alpha game at all. Would they have to *gasp* make new 90s sprites? Kamiya didn't do Rising or DMC4. Landing grabs with Nero felt like the start of a great idea with the arm. It was the best way to do contextual stuff in action games that was skill based rather than mashing quick time events which is the case for most other action games. Mashing quick time events had no skill involved, you'd be smack dab in the middle of a combo and then button prompt which most of the time you wouldn't need to press. Thing is, Nero story and development were also cut. I already talked about how Dante was just made as a character for that game...and that's it. No levels of his own, other than the Savior which was boring and terrible. Ever since I figured out(and it was confirmed) that half the game was missing, I think about what could have been. What's there is REALLY fun, but dreadfully unfinished. Xenogears was a lot for the first disc. Second disc was mostly cutscenes that went REALLY fast, which wasn't the plan. Makes me think what else they had in store. I know you were joking, but they could also make it look like Xrd. Which seems to be the go-to example so I'll make another one. The style they were going for in Tatsunoko vs Capcom would be fine too. I actually enjoyed that style more than the SUPER HIGH CONTRAST of MvC3.(Actually I enjoyed that game a lot more than MvC3)

Oh you're right, he left Capcom way earlier than that, and I had no idea he wasn't involved in Rising. That's interesting. I also didn't know that DMC4 was halved in such a way, that is definitely disappointing. As much as I like that game, it could have been better... I agree on TvC vs MvC3. I wonder when Capcom will do another versus game? I think it's certainly likely, but I have no idea who they would crossover with this time. Just all-Capcom would be fine, though. Also guys, looking at Hideki Kamiya's Wikipedia page, apparently "his favorite action game is the original Castlevania". D:

New HD Old School CV I mean like CV1 or CV3.
Guardian Legend: Reborn I've talked about this one before.
HD 2D Metroid TOTALLY agree with this one...
LoZ1 and LoZ2 done in HD in OoT style Not that I think that it would NEVER get done, but I definitely don't see it being likely.
A Decent Aliens franchise game I mean seriously have you guys seen the last two entries in this catagory?? The fact that one spawned a lawsuit should be an indicator...
Metal Gear: Reborn HD 2D/OoT style remake of the original Metal Gear.
And while we're on the subject of metal gear, how about they re-release the 2D Metal Gear they did for mobile a few years back! That was pretty awesome but I never got to finish it.

Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain. I think it's time for Eidos and Crystal Dynamics to revisit the series, and for BO to either get remade, or the entire series to get a reboot. At the very least, Square Enix needs to release the PC version of Blood Omen 1 onto Steam.

Rockstar Games to make a 3D Castlevania with the same vastness and attention to detail as GTA5. It'd be my dream game.

As the saying goes "never say never" but if there were a few games that I'd like to see that (probably....ok mostly like) won't ever happen well they would have to be:
1. Unnamed 2.5D Fighting game featuring famous horror movie heroes & villians (I know about Terrordrome but I'm talking officially licensed with original surviving actors providing their voices and is sold in a retail store for consoles & PC)......hell it'd be even better if Neatherealm the makers of Mortal Kombat X got to do this .
2. A new Dino Crisis that didn't involve mutant dino hybrids in space and brought back Regina
3. A new Onimusha Warlords game that uses the RE Revelations 2 gameplay engine
4. A new Parasite Eve game that has a new main character & story, but it has nods to the first game and uses the Final Fantasy XV combat system
5. A new Star Wars Rogue Squadron game that has every single ship from every Star Wars movie available in the game (there would be no DLC/Pre-order exclusive vehicles), it allows you to relive infamous space battles from every Star Wars movie (all DLC for the game would involve bits from Episodes 8 & 9), would have a online multiplayer objective based mode (think along the lines of capture the flag or Conquest/Rush from the Battlefield games but with space ships), would have a single player story mode set between episode 6 & 7, and would have local 4 multiplayer mode with deathmatch, team deathmatch, and racing/obstacle course game types.

Otogi 3: The first two games were brilliant; some of the best action games I've ever played. A sequel on current gen hardware would be amazing, but unfortunately From Software are in full Souls-milking mode.
Armored Core 6: This one might actually happen, but not in the way I want it. I want a new game that plays like the PS1 originals and the PS2 Armored Core 2 games. Unfortunately from 3 onward the series has changed how they play, and while they aren't bad I'd greatly prefer a return to the original formula.
Breakdown 2: The original was one of the best Xbox exclusives, taking a robust hand-to-hand combat system (with a mix of DBZ for good measure) and putting into a first person perspective. With VR gaming on the horizon a sequel could be jaw-dropping (and possibly nauseating).
Ninja Gaiden 4: This is another game that will likely happen eventually, but I want the game to have Itagaki involved again. Ninja Gaiden Black and 2 are, in my opinion, the best 3D action games ever made, and the debacle that was Ninja Gaiden 3 shows that his input is sorely needed. I want hhim to stay away from Dead or Alive though.
Final Fantasy VIII Remake: One of the most hated games in the series, but screw everyone it's my favorite and I'll defend it to the death. The game is horribly misunderstood, and ideally a remake would clarify some of the more vague parts of the story for people who don't get it. I'm extremely excited for the VII remake, but VIII is what I truly want.
Atelier ensemble/crossover game: The Atelier series is in my opinion the most consistently excellent JRPG series that's currently ongoing. I'd love to see a game that brings the characters from the various Atelier universes together.

I'm loving all of the ideas posted here, so far. Time for some contributions of my own! (Perhaps a few of these ideas do actually have a chance of happening, like many of the other fine ideas here, but I'll post them anyway) - Adding onto the "Megaman X9" idea, I'd personally love to see a third Megaman ZX game. That Secret Ending in ZX Advent left us hanging! - Mega Man Unlimited, an awesome fan-game by "MegaPhilX", needs to have current-gen console ports. I wish Capcom would allow that! - 2.5D sequel to Metroid Fusion. I really do want the Metroid series to continue after.. Samus escaped the BSL with her new & improved Fusion/Omega Suit - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 (Sure, some people will say that SWTOR is "KotOR 3", but there was actually another cancelled project: link ) ^ We could've had another epic Star Wars RPG adventure, on new planets, and with new companions (such as a female Jedi named "Naresha", and a droid named "Q-10"). - Jade Empire 2... I actually liked BioWare's first attempt at an East Asian-themed martial arts RPG, with some elements of real-world Chinese mythology mixed into the story. - Fire Emblem Warriors (Yes, the obligatory Warriors/Musou-game idea. This is actually a very popular idea among both series' fans in Japan: Fire Emblem among Japanese gamers' most wanted Warriors game ) ^ There's a YouTube video I've found that talks about this too, and I really like the comments made by one "White Raven": Game Ideas that would work on Wii U: Fire Emblem Warriors ) - Finally, I'd like to see a remake of the mobile TES side-game The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey for the PlayStation Vita, if not a newer portable system. I think it's very unlikely that Bethesda Game Studios will ever do a remake of any of their games, but I can dream...

Here's a few I can think of at the moment... if more come up, I might post them.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Complete HD Edition PS4 exclusive title containing SMTIV and SMTIV Final titles ported from 3DS to PS4 with nicely touched-up graphics all across the board. Available both physically and digitally, and physical version must include an LE package containing a thick manual covering both titles.
Gradius VI The sequel to a very good Gradius V for the PS2. Will continue series as a horizontal shmup. Platform can be any, but must include PS4 among the SKU(s). Available both physically and digitally.
Salamander 3 20 years and STILL no sequel!?!? Just like Salamander/Life Force, stages will alternate as hori and vert. And.... platform can be any, but must include PS4 among the SKU(s). Available both physically and digitally.

Fire Emblem Warriors? That's not a bad idea...and I -could- see that happen. There's definitely no shortage of characters and it makes sense in the context of the game worlds.
Would be kind of weird having a rapier lord take out 20 guys at once, and I would think cavaliers and pegasus/wyvern knights would have to be under some kind of limitation, but...yeah.

Yeah, after thinking about it for a bit, it does seem like it would feel weird. As for how the Story of such a game would work, I agree with what "White Raven" had to say about it in the YouTube video I linked to. He mentioned the "Outrealms", which was a concept introduced in Awakening, that allowed for characters from many of the different worlds in the Fire Emblem series to encounter and interact with each other.
