- Game Name: Castlevania Legacy of Darkness
- System: Nintendo 64
- Style: Linear 3D Action Platformer
- New System: Wii U / 3DS
- Style: Exploitative 2.5D Action Platformer
I would love to see them re-make the 64 Castlevania game, Legacy of Darkness, but in the style of bloodstained. 2.5D graphics with the classic 2D style castlevania game play. With Carrie, Reinhardt, cornell, and Henry the game would have a lot of playability. I also think that for Cornells story, since his takes palce 8 years before the others, add in some other vania elements for him. Such as familiars and magic spells.
for the trio, give them a Portrait of Ruin style of adventure, all 3 of them traveling together. the games manual states the 3 of them entered the castle and traveled, canonically, together. However the consoles limitations couldnt allow them to travel together in-game. So I figure allowing them to travel together as a trio would really help with the story, as well as change up the game play.

Game Name: Callahan's Crosstime SaloonSystem: PC Style: First-Person Point and Click Adventure New System: PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U New Style: Third-Person Point and Click Adventure (think Telltale's Walking Dead games) Simply take the original game, add the ability to freely explore the environments, and improve the graphics, and I'm sure this game could be a hit.

I would only want remastered games. I can't pick just one though. Arcus Odyssey: Sega Genesis. Action role-playing. So good I have to link it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcus_OdysseyCastlevania SotN: Obviously the best game ever made. Diablo II LoD: Blizzard butchered number III. Dune: The Battle for Arrakis: Sega Genesis: Westwood Studios. RTS based on Dune by Frank Herbert. Faxanadu: NES. Action role-playing game. In my opinion some of the best music/atmosphere/themes I ever saw on the NES! FFVII: (It's happening!) Final Fantasy Tactics: Probably the most time I devoted to one game The Magic of Scheherazade: NES. Action-adventure Role-playing video game. Very difficult, had a weird mix of turn based RPG and top down world exploration/combat like Legend of Zelda Milon's Secret Castle: NES. Action/Puzzle. Anyone remember Hudson!?! Great music. Very fun. Shining Force I & II: Sega Genesis, turn based strategy RPG. Super Metroid: SNES, Action-adventure, platform. The start of metroidvania! Vandal Hearts I & II: Playstation. Great turn based RPGs. Warsong (also known as Langrisser): Sega Genesis, turn based strategy RPG. Wildarms: Playstation. RPG.

oh yeah, about xenogears. I'd like to see them do xenosaga properly. ep3 was a great game but it still didn't do the series justice when it was supposed to have 6 parts or whatever. I think it's really stupid how they decided to rush-complete the whole IP into one game with ep3 because they decided that people weren't interested enough after they screwed it up with 2. I say this as one of the few people who actually liked 2 (though I do think 1 and 3 are better still). But seriously, why would you have a completely different art style for the cast when everyone loved them after one game? why? The combat mechanics were far too time consuming too. I mean the game basically makes you spend several turns for even the most meaningless of enemy encounters, just wait wait wait wait wait, NUKEOMGWTF, not to mention that combat system kinda made you use the exact same strategy for every single fight. Nah, people weren't so interested anymore because they did a bad job making 2, and they blamed the consumer base for their mistake and punished them by refusing to release the series like they said they would. UGH.
Note I know that xenogears and xenosaga aren't the same series, but they obviously very intentionally have teasers between the two with zohars, abel, the name, etc.

they had to diverge the IP because the original developers split with square (who owned the IP) to create Monolith, right? I agree that they could've taken the opportunity to build the new IP up correctly based on the story outlined in Perfect Works. Of the Xeno* games i played, i only really liked ep 5 (xenogears itself). I played through ep 1 and own 2 and 3 but havent played through them for lack of motivation.

Yeah I wasn't really saying that with feasibility in mind, just wishful thinking.. but that said IIRC there was some kind of xenosaga remake crowdfund proposal Is aw like a year ago, not sure what happened to it. They weren't really specific if they just were going to remaster the games or if they would try to re-do them to be complete.

No problems ghaleon! Wishful thinking is pretty much exactly what the intent for this thread was. A chance to let those dreams see a little light with some like minded folks. ^_^

Game Name: Total Annihilation: Kingdoms System: PC Style: RTS (Real-Time Strategy) New System: PC New Style: Nah
It's one of my favorites games from my childhood, the sad thing is that the developer went bankrupt one year after the release.

Obviously Metroid needs a sequel! More Prime style ones and more classic 2D style ones.
Other: SKIES OF ARCADIA Magical Starsign Megaman, Megaman X, Megaman ZX and Megaman Legends...
As for remakes, Konami could do Castlevania Simon's Quest/Harmony of Dissonance Chronicles. It could have a beginning phase of renewed Simon's quest that would transition into Harmony of Dissonance, and you could explore the outer world as Juste too after a plot point where Simon has found peace and Juste grows up and gains Vampire Killer. Just a dream of mine.

Yes. Shadowrun: Hong Kong. There's also a Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall Yup. Beat 'em both and backed Hong Kong. Dragonfall is much, much better than returns.

I never played any shadowrun game ever, I kinda ignored it way back in its 8-16 bit days because cyberpunk was never really my thing (in addition to it lacking anything else I knew about that made me want it... I mean it never looked bad to me per say, it's just I never heard anything about it that said "I NEED THAT", other than that it was cyberpunk, which was a minus to me)... Then sometime between those days, and it's original return thing on steam, I heard it was a rogue-like..and I was like IT IS?!?! I thought it was an RPG like fallout?! (I like post-apocalyptic even less than cyberpunk but I tried fallout for reasons I can't recall...I loved fallout 1 and 2...and even tactics, not 3, but that's another topic altogether, I'm long-winded enough). So ever since I heard it was a rogue-like, I was really interested, but didn't buy it until a sale, but during a big steam sale, it wasn't on sale yet, and I was saying how much I wanted it... and when I mentioned wanting it because I like roguelikes, especially ones that are willing to get graphical improvements WITHOUT becomming rogue-lites...I was told "ITS NOT A ROGUELIKE WTF NOOB"... so now I think it's not a roguelike (I dunno! I never played it!)...
heeelp... is it remotely a roguelike? or is it a cyberpunk fallout-ish game? not saying it copied or was inspired by fallout, but that kind of rpg?

I never played it!)... heeelp... is it remotely a roguelike? or is it a cyberpunk fallout-ish game? not saying it copied or was inspired by fallout, but that kind of rpg? It's not a roguelike. It is cyberpunk, but it also has fantasy elements. The combat is turn based on a grid. It is post-apocalyptic in a way, but high tech is still the norm (more high tech than we have now), many cities still exist and thrive, megacorps run the world, and... Hrm. Magic came back to the world. Things mutated, viruses wiped out large percentages of the population, dragons took over corporations and fought for dominance, rogue AI performed horrifying experiments on people (which megacorps then did to try to reproduce the results), some people turned into orcs, or trolls, or elves, or dwarves, or horrible abominations... It's one of the best games I've ever played, because it is reeeeeeally text-heavy. Incredibly so. You get lots of dialogue choices, and they matter. What stats you choose matter, and not just for combat purposes. Your choices really do shape the world... and yet, you're still always one wrong choice away from death. You will face forces that have more men, more resources, and more experience than you. You will be hired by people who will doublecross you, you will make a name for yourself and face the consequences that brings, you will be forced to choose between the lesser of two evils more often than not, but sometimes you can make the right choice with the right people and do some good. Or not. It's up to you.

yeah sounds like fallout then...and don't get me wrong, fallout is a great game, it just wasn't what really made me want it in the first place, thank you.
Not that it matters for my question though, but I actually normally hate important evil choice things...not because I think real life lets you play a shining paladin 100% of the time or anything, but because in real life, sometimes when you make an objectionable choice, or even if you make a mistake/bad choice, you can like... you know... EXPLAIN it to the people you care about an they'd be like "ohhh, you poor thing, that must have been painful" (unless you care about stone-minded bigots or something...not that I'm saying sympathetic people are common, they're rare as fuu, and I can count the ones I met on my hands, but they DO exist). So like consequences that affect the world for bad or other bad choices I can accept, but ones where the people your character is close to judges you buy...I hate that. even if they don't change their relationship forever more, something as simple as a -10 reputation or whatever pisses me off...not that I would refuse to try or like a game cuz of that...just saying that kind of mechanic bugs me to no end.
