Wouldn't it be cool if Silent Hills composer Akira Yamaoka would lend his talents to Bloodstained? Check out Pixeltunes Radio's Facebook Post.Check out this Spotify album

It would be AMAZING! Let`s hope they discussed it these days (as it could imagined from the recent photos) I love Akira`s SH2 soundtrack! Amazing, from where you got those photos?

What is funny about this, I didn`t even go to that link. I thought you had a cool idea about Akira composing for Bloodstained and I went to see his facebook page. There were the photos which surprised me so I posted them here. I thought you were some kind of a mind reader

I feel this bears posting here. It's from the DVD "Art of Silent Hill" and I really enjoy it--composed of course by Yamaoaka himself. It has a dissonant feel and the pounding bassline makes it almost catchy.

Follow that link on the first post then use the first pic to go to the page that has a few other pics. Oh so that is it, thanks. I didn't saw your link properly because I would need to log-in on facebook, and while I have a account I dislike it, so I rarely log on it. I feel this bears posting here. It's from the DVD "Art of Silent Hill" and I really enjoy it--composed of course by Yamaoaka himself. It has a dissonant feel and the pounding bassline makes it almost catchy. Wow, the beggining is in portuguese edit: I was playing SotN on PSP, from Dracula X Chronicles and then noticed something at the credits. Akira Yamaoka was credited in the Special Thanks area. While this can be common knowledge for a lot of people here (or not), I thought that sharing this info could be interesting for someone.

Lelygax: Ah, I wasn't aware of that myself! It's been some time since I sat through the SoTN credits. His work is quite the inspiration--especially for myself. I'm not a musician by any stretch of the imagination, but his works have featured prominently in the soundtrack of my various campaigns as background music when my friends and I used to get together to play table top RPGs. The darker the setting the better!

It would be AMAZING! Let`s hope they discussed it these days (as it could imagined from the recent photos) I love Akira`s SH2 soundtrack! Seeing IGA and everyone else in yukatas is probably one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. That aside, I think that would be a very interesting collaborative effort. I love the Silent Hill soundtrack and was totally stoked when I bought the third game and discovered that a soundtrack came with it!

Sure he / she is a good composer and so I think about MGS's one. Since David Hayter is in the party, I will more likely see the composer from the early MGS (Konami and IGA seem not to be in good terms...).
I have total faith in Michiru Yamane though, maybe this is where she gets her inspiration though. Who knows ?

I loved the work he did in Black Knight Sword, it really fit the dark, hallucinogenic mood of the game.
Starting at 27:30 the music combined with the voice acting and the slow walk toward the end gives me chills:

I like his older works, but his recent works at Grasshopper always felt bland. As good as he is, I don't think he fits well with Grasshopper's lineup. Masafumi Takada was perfect, but he left. If he can captivate me like he did with his older work, I'm all for it. I think Yoko Shimomura would be a good fit too if anyone has heard her Parasite Eve work.
I think Yamaoka might have been inspired by it with this piece:
So, my answer is yes it would be cool. However, I think he lost some of his mojo.
