Please let this be an early hint of Shovel Knight getting into Smash.

And hopefully with the Shovel Knight amiibo, Nintendo will continue to be like they were with the amiibos for the Smash guest characters and get a surprising amount of use out of Shovel Knight's amiibo.

And, while they don't (yet, at least) have the critical acclaim that Shovel Knight has enjoyed, this does make me more hopeful for stuff like Yooka-Laylee and Bloodstained getting amiibos.

They retail for $13.99 the problem is people rebuy them and sell them for mark up.

I love amiibos. Lets me expand my love for characters that don't normally have merchandise, or characters that only have merch that are really expensive, plus the added stuff to games is really nice. I've been satisfied.

I am loving the fact that the Amiibo unlocks Co-op for the Wii U version. I dunno why but like, I'm considering getting this game now just so I can buy the amiibo so i can use it.

The PS4 version has the Kratos Boss Fight and special GoW themed equipment, the 360 version has the Battletoads Boss Fight and BT themed equipment. The Wii U version gets an exclusive figurine that unlocks co-op, and both the Wii U and 3DS versions get the ability to customize equipment with it. The Nintendo console versions were the last ones to get exclusive content, but I honestly think they got the best exclusive content.
