I am sure they are hiding the good stuff, The first Miriam's 3D model shown up on the pre-pre-alpha seemed quite good for me, why they doesn't show us the characters models? Even if they are not sure if it will be the final model, just say that so we can help with opinions about the models, their movements and stuff. Not to mention the vast number of enemy models, every update could show some of them (again, even if they are no the final version). So many details they could share with us as the development progress, no need to hide it, come on! we need details.

Sadly not everyone is like you, me and a lot of people from this forum and would think that what they see is what they get. This would impact badly sales and marketing since it is much easier to spread a misunderstanding than clarify it after, if you give a look at Wii U's launch for example you will notice that it took long months until people were informed enough to know that it was a new console and not a acessory. Now if a finished product gave that amount of headaches, imagine a game in-progress. While I do want to know how the process of creation is going, it needs to be polished for showing before, like they did in their first alpha sneak-peek. Now if you meant "ready to show" material, I'm sorry for misunderstanding you at first, since I will agree with that.

I like a lot all the new details of Zangetsu, the ofuda papers and the animated wooden prosthetic arm are could details, but the best part is his background. He would we this badass demon hunter who wont stop for nothing. Something like a Julius Belmont, but angrier.

Yeah, Zangetsu is super cool and I'm really interested in learning more about him and his story I wonder if he'll be the main character of the Bloodstained prologue game or at least appear in it in some shape or form~

So Zangestsu is the second playable character. More and more, I believe IGA will create the third one and not just makes Gebel or Johanes playable.
