Bloodstained happened due to a connection between Koji Igarashi and us, his Army of the Night. To facilitate that connection we will be trying a new process where the community will propose questions and comments gathered throughout the month to be presented to ArtPlay. Mana Ikeda aka Vusc is ArtPlay's communication manager, and great friend of the community. Without obligation she has agreed to portal questions and comments from the community to ArtPlay. If time allows, Mana will answer questions and translate to the rest of the team for us. Please keep in mind that whatever you say will be translated, so get to the point in as little words as possible. To keep the questions and comments from being a burden, they will be limited to a digestible and translatable amount. Your questions may be selected or reworded if deemed necessary. Replies to this thread are to be questions and comments to ArtPlay staff only. Conversations will be deleted, but are welcome elsewhere on this forum. If all goes well we hope to do this monthly. At the moment I only have 3 real questions (see below), but if I think of anything else I'd like to know I'll update this post.
1. Once all the backer funded DLC/Stretch Goals have been completed will there be any chance for additional story-focused DLC expansion (telling the stories of either Dominique & Zangetsu or a post game story involving Miriam & Johanness) to be made? Or will IGA and ArtPlay move on to focusing on making Bloodstained 2 instead?
2. Is there an eta/roadmap for when we will see the rest of the backer funded DLC/Stretch Goals?
3. Lately, I've been watching a few Making of/Behind the Scenes documentaries and watched a few video game focused ones (the Making of Silent Hill 2 and Developer Diaries for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice) so it's got me wondering if it was possible for there to be one made/released for both Bloodstained (RotN & CotM) games?

Why is the Japanese version later than the version in other main regions (sale, update, etc)? especially PS4 version.

Transform (through item or shard like Shovel Armor and Lili) or other ways: for example Revenant, Bloodless, Master Carpenter, Todd/Killer Barber, other humanoid enemies.

1. Thank you for a fun game! Do you plan to work on a sequel to Bloodstained at some point?
2. Is it possible to return to 2D sprite artwork instead of 2.5D for a sequel?
3. Will we ever get an Aztec/Mayan area? That would be awesome!

Hey ArtPlay. Love both Bloodstained games. They are truly amazing, wonderful successors to both Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
My question is this: Since you guys have done a spiritual successor to both of the aforementioned games, and the naming you've given them mirrors their names, is there a possibility we could maybe get a, for example, Bloodstained: Rondo of Souls? Rondo of Blood, the PCE version, is a stunning game to look at, the music is fantastic, and the level design is stellar. Is there a possibility we could get a Rondo-style follow-up to Curse of the Moon? I love both "Classicvania" games like CV1, CVIII, CV4, and Rondo as well as all of the "Igavania" games so both styles appeal to me.

Once all promised modes are out, will the game be balanced further after that point with patches, or is it time to move on to new projects?

1) Was the commercial release of Bloodstained RotN successful enough to make a sequel? If yes, how soon until you begin working on it? 2) Please consider working with studio MONACA on the music for future titles. They have worked on the Nier series. Very talented staff. 3) Please consider using roll back netcode for online multiplayer modes of BS RotN. Thanks for keeping the spirit of Castlevania alive! |
