How do you think it's going to work? When the Wii U version was announced, I got excited because that is the version I intend to get, but then I noticed that they intend to make it so a users Mii(s) will appear in-game. So I'm like, wondering how they are going to do it. Personally, I think it would be cool if they made it so Mii's functioned as Wii U exclusive Familiars. The Mii can be equipped weapons, and outfits/costumes, and follow Miriam around the castle on foot to help her fight monsters. It would be so much fun I think. It could function similarly to how Mii fighters work in SSB4: you chose any Mii on your wii U console and select them to be the face of your Mii Familiar, the color of their outfits being based on the color of their shirt. Maybe you could like, equip them weapons/armor Miriam her self can use, ones you'd sell or not use your self because you got a stronger one. That way your equipment wont go to waste when you find better ones later on. what would you guys do?

I really enjoy the ability to put ourselves into games like ssb4. Maybe for Mii integration they could make it so we could use them in things such as the Challenge or Dungeon mode possibly? It could make sense for online co-op as well, so that we don't have two Miriam's running around. I am not sure how programming these would work though, or how much effort they'd want to put in just for one specific version of the game. It may be simpler integration than what we believe.

Well since we are going to have 3 completely different playable characters, I don't think there is going to be an issue with multiple miriams appearing online, unless its what players want.
But yeah, making them playable would definitely be interesting. I hadn't really thought of that since, well, we already have 3 in-universe characters to play as ... but then again, having them be playable could be fun.
As Familiars or Playable characters, I'm eager to see how their implemented.

No. Platform exclusive content is a horrible, horrible idea that causes divide in the fanbase. The games already confirmed to have exclusive content for the Wii U version though So the fact that Mii's are going to appear in the Wii U version already makes them being exclusive content for the Wii U version. The only thing we don't know is HOW they will be included in the game. That is what this topic is for, disguising the possible ways that Mii's will be used in the Wii U version.

So the fact that Mii's are going to appear in the Wii U version already makes them being exclusive content for the Wii U port. The only thing we don't know is HOW they will be included in the game. Is the Vita touchscreen support a exclusive feature? How about Xbone-PC crossplay? Trophy and achievement support? Implementation of platform specific features is not exclusive content.Adding completely new characters with unique movesets and functionality is. You're not asking for a Mii character to just replace the appearance of a familiar (which would be a non-issue), you're asking for a completely new familiar.

If your not fond of my idea of the Mii being a Familiar, why not suggest something else? That is what this topic is for.
How do you think Mii's will be included in the Wii U version of the game?

Hmm, maybe it could pull off a Shovel Knight and add something unique to every system. So for Wii it could have the Mii as skins for the playable characters. For PS it could maybe have the "Bloodborne" default Hunter skin, Xbox I am not sure about since I don't really keep up with it, and then for PC I am not sure either. If skins for characters is too much, then maybe skins for familiars.

They could do something Battletoad related for the Xbone version. They seem to be using that series as its primary crossover title. Rash being in Killer Instinct season 3, as well as all 3 battle toads appearing as a secret boss in the Xbone port of Shovel Knight. Maybe they could do something like one special familiar per console? - PS4/Vita having a special sony familiar
- Wii U having the Mii Familiar
- Xbone having Battle Toads themed familiar?
Only thing is I wouldn't know what they could do for PC ... Portal themed Familiar maybe?
I dunno, since Mii's are in the game I want them to be used to their fullest potential, and having them be a familiar, an optional feature which can be turned on/off, seems the ideal rout to me.

I had a different idea for Mii integration.
I think they should use the faces from Miis on the system more subtly--Mii Easter Eggs. For example, there could be a certain enemy that has a spider-like body with a Mii head. Which Mii it has changes every time you encounter it. Another example would be to have paintings/sculptures in the background with Mii faces.
Another simple use of Mii integration I have seen in other games is using a Mii as the icon for a save file (as in Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii).
But more than anything, I want there to be Mii-VERSE interactions as opposed to in-game Mii use. Bloodstained really needs to have the ability to take screen shots and post questions/comments on Miiverse. Additionally, there should be some kind of in-game marker (purple wall torch, purple smoke cloud, etc--hey we all like the purple forum theme, right?) to indicate where other users have stopped to post to Miiverse. That way you can stop and read the messages in-game without launching Miiverse. (Also include the ability to turn these markers on/off. Not everyone wants to be warned of what to expect coming up in the next room.)
I don't think any of that stuff I mentioned would hurt the other platforms. Just cater to the features of the Wii U.

I'd rather not see consoles get exclusive familiars unless they all have the same function. That way consoles can get a little something extra in terms of visuals by having a unique look (Battletoads, Mii, etc), but they all do the same thing without disrupting balance of the game or having anyone feel left out.
Plus, if familiars end up being important in speedrunning strategies and one of the exclusive familiars ends up being better than the others, I don't want to end up on the "wrong" platform for speedrunning just because of a decision I made when pledging to the Kickstarter and have to purchase a new console and copy of the game just to keep up with everyone in the speedruning community.

Well then again, Speedrunners are a minority in gaming, so really why water down a game in order to cater to them? I apologize if I come off as rude, but I wouldn't want to miss out on possible extra content if its because competitive players, or speederunners are whining about games 'being fair' Whats the point in releasing a game on multiple consoles, if its going to play exactly the same, and there is no benefit to buying any specific version?

Speedrunners help keep game communities alive long after they're released and act as free advertising. Nothing bad comes from keeping them in mind. They are a long-term investment. Keeping familiars functions consistent across all versions of Bloodstained but giving one a unique look on different consoles would hardly be "watering down." The point in releasing the same game game on multiple consoles and keeping them the same (or as close or similar as possible) is because there is no gameplay benefit to buying any specific version and players feel satisfied with whatever version of the game they get.

Eh, opinions, what can ya do?
Personally I disagree with you, and lets just keep it at that.
How would you go about including Mii's in the Wii U version then? We know they are going to appear in game, just not to what extent. If not as a familiar, what would you have them do?

Well, I'm not a Wii U owner (yet) and I don't know the full purpose/functions of what Miis can and can't do, but... -Have the game give out Mii Bloodstained-themed costume parts/accessories by accessing certain parts of the story or beating certain bosses for the first time. -Profile or leaderboard position icons. -Possibly have them show up in the background as stained-glass versions of themselves.

We know they are going to appear in game, just not to what extent. If not as a familiar, what would you have them do? Well, I'm not a Wii U owner (yet) and I don't know the full purpose/functions of what Miis can and can't do. Mii's are essentially in-game player avatars. Every Wii, Wii U, and 3DS that is on the market has you create a 'User Mii' assigned to that console. The Wii U uses Mii's as avatars to represent multiople users on a console. Players are capable of creating multiple Mii's after their Console Representitive Mii is made, and players can use a 3DS or Wii U game pad to scan Mii QR Codes to get Mii's other people have made onto their system. When Mii's appear in a game, they are usually meant to serve as an avatar for the player to insert them selves into the game. Games like SSB4, Mario Kart, Mario Golf, Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, and various other titles. Since the Mii's are confirmed to appear in game, given the history how Mii's are incorporated into games, its likely they will appear physically in the game to and interact with Miriam to some extent. Again, basing this off what I've seen. -Have the game give out Mii Bloodstained-themed costume parts/accessories by accessing certain parts of the story or beating certain bosses for the first time. Mii's cant use altnertae costumes outside of games they appear in. In the Wii/WiiU/3DS's Mii Plaza, where miis are stored on your console, they are limited ti either a shirt or dress, depending on the Mii's Gender, that is colored different colors like purple, pink, or white. So if there was a Miriam themed alternate costume for Mii's, it would have to be made available for another game, as dressing a Mii up as Miriam in Bloodstained would be ... odd ... -Profile or leaderboard position icons. -Possibly have them show up in the background as stained-glass versions of themselves. Again it's been said the Mii's will appear in-game them selves, so limiting them to just pictures/windows or icons would be going against what they've already claimed they would do with them, based on how Mii's have been used in games in the past.
Really The only game I can think of that included Mii Features where they were only icons was Super Smash Bros Brawl., where they were used for online player icons alongside other things such as series emblems.

Even as a Wii U and previously Wii owner I have no love for Mii's or Mii integration in most games.

I also don`t have any interest in Miis. The only similar thing I liked was making/drawing your character in a DS game Drawn to Life, which you could hack to upload your own photo (e.g. picture of the face) and really make yourself a playable character.

Personally, I'm in the middle on this issue. I feel mixed. I find myself agreeing with points brought up by both @nyahahaha & IxbranExclusive features are to be expected. Exclusive content for the Wii-U sounds nice when I first think about it...(specifically, a new Familiar) But, I'm not sure that would work out. People have already caused a stir with that rumor being spread that the new Samurai 3rd character shown recently was supposedly "Xbone-exclusive". ^ In this particular case...I don't know about you...but I'm sure we'd all rather that character be available to everybody to play as on all versions of the game (and I doubt Iga would actually allow for console-exclusive content. He'd give all the content he promised the game would have on all versions). I mean...he'd allow for Backer-exclusive content (ala the Kickstarter), but that would be for all platforms. *(EDIT)*: If a Mii worked as a replacer for the model of a Familiar on the Wii-U version, I'd be fine with that. The mere idea of a console-exclusive Familiar still sounds great...but I'm not confident that exclusive content would blow over well.
