Not to double up on suggestions, but I had a thought today about a quality of life improvement for Deep Sinker. I don't know about anyone else, but I find myself switching it off to move around, and back on when I need it. So I think that it would be helpful not to have to always go to the menu to do that. Make it so that there's a button input to start and stop sinking. Say, press down and jump in the water to sink, and up and jump in the water to float. That would make getting around in the water much more convenient and, if you'll pardon the pun, more fluid.

I know what you mean though... after using the previous water movement shard, Deep Sinker seems very slow and clunky to use but after getting more shard from that water horse thing it made it easier to move in the water.

You can, but my point was that due to how slow you move with Deep Sinker compared to Aqua Stream, I and probably a number of other players ended up switching it on and off a lot. That requires going to the menu, scrolling over to it, and toggling it on. Then you do whatever thing you needed to do, open up the menu, scroll over to it, and toggle it off. Repeatedly. Having a simple controller input wouldn't be necessary, but would save a lot of time spent fiddling with menus.

i really wish rapiers' thousand blossoms can be amended : change the input as it currently conflicts with endgame fast/rapid regular attacking. eliminate the forward thrust as i as a user might not want to move into the space in front when i am just attacking on the spot.

please have auto-scrolling (I don't know what it's called)... the scenes have a certain timing to it, and if you turn away from the screen and don't hit the button at the right time there is a long awkward pause until you realize you have to push the button to advance the story... the voice acting is not horrible but I think the fact that you HAVE to push the button throws off the timing.

I would really really love one or more higher dificulty levels that provide a challenged for a descently maxed out Miriam. I'm not even talking everything to the max, but maybe her favourite shards to 9-9, some of the beste weapons per category, some passive shards upped to grade 9 so they don't have to be turned up to have an effect... I got may Miriam quite a bit above that baselane in Normal, beacuse it didn't take too long (with the right shards and equip) and was fun.
So I had all the attack shards I thought were useful ad at least close to max, had eaten all the foods, gotten pretty much all the best items (asie from some fully improved coin ones I think), and thought that maybe being restricted to level 1, the buffing of the monsters, their movesets and sheer numbers would at least after a while pose a challenge. Sadly, that did't really happen. I actually turned off most my passive sill shards and dropped the high-tier gear whiel fighting through the castle to that point, until I went up to fighting Gebel in the earliest-possible bad ending fighht, and even that was pretty. easy.
Now, I realizse that a New Game Plust i mostly meant as a fun rump, througwing around your massively overpowered attacks and spells at monsters wo don't stand a change, But I would really like a ...supposedly more Diablo 2-esque mode, where the monsters have bevome a much bigger threat commensurate to your own growth? I think there was one boss fight I encountered, the twin dragons one, which was completely immune to fire damage on Nightmare. And I just thought that having more of this would be kind of cool, so that you don't just batter the mobs or boss with your vaourite or most-damage-dealingest weapon, but instead have to work around full and partial immunities and similar. Similar for different types of physical damage (slashing, blunt, etc)
Other stuff that comes to mind. giving those bosses abilities/spells to silence you, drain your mana, mirror your spells back to you in a way that's to damaging you, After i found it, upgraded it t a bit, I carried myself pretty much without breaking a sweat through the entire rest of th game using Tis Rozain (the directional golden light Kamehame beam), and never even ran out of mana. This was due to that the damage procs on first contact with the beam, and during continued contact, it doesn't do dame until the next damage start. The mana cost, otoh, was steadily withrawn from my pool, so I could just do a 1/10 second swipe through a room, every enemy gets the full damage for 1 second, and repeat that untli everyone was dead and I barely lost any mana. And saldy (though I thought it was incrediby goold at the time, this DBZ-Ki-beam move kept working, with maybe a swipe or two more, all through Nightmare.
I'm sure variations of different shard magic or even weapon setups make New Game Pluse Nightmare a similar cakewalk. As I mentnoned, I did already handicap myself by turning off most of the passive sill shards, even at time selling some of the shards to weaken the attacks. But I don't really feel less inferior facing a hellish demonic horde if I just weakened myself on purpose so the won't simply get powerdized in an insitant.
I know, i know, I could start fresh on a hgher diffiulty, but sometimes I don't want to feel like a (somwhat) regular gal, taking on the the demons starting on the bottom undtil I finally might have a change an doing something about it. Sometimes I want to be the very most powerful living weapon thrown against the hosts of hell, because the armies of hell are so powerful, no-one else would stand a chance and even the greatest living weapon, a Shardbinder, able to control and channel those infernal energies in her war against the demons, might only stand a small change of success.
Maybe there's some inspiration from (book) Witcher Geralt's way of approaching fights, previously learning about the weaknesses of his opponent, choosing the right weapon, applying the appropirate oil or poison (new crafting category? doesn't seem too difficult to implemnt into BS:RotN crafting system).
Just to be clear: I ENJOY the shit out of this game, it's the frst (proper-lenght) game In ages I bought and immediately completed a few days later. I then messed around with New Game Plus, and restarting fresh, but the latter made melt limited, like all the cool features where locked beind Admin privilueges by some controlling, fun-hating God, Whereas the latter just felt like a power phantasy where I could annihilate everyting without breaking a sweap. I would love love LOOOOOOOOVE to be in the power fanatasy, but all the hordes of hell would exude a power, malice, cunning and level of threat worthy of my own.

Make Kunekune respawn after the initial encounter so you don't have to redo the 2 minute train seat wait every time.
Also, increase rates for the 8-bit Overlord shard. It's lower than the other extra boss shard drops for no reason, yet it takes more time to respawn since you have to redo the level every time.

Make Kunekune respawn after the initial encounter so you don't have to redo the 2 minute train seat wait every time. I'm fundamentally against this, because there are times I feel like doing the train, and just don't want to arsed with Mr. Murder Incarnate. On the other hand, making it faster to summon him on subsequent attempts, that I could get behind.

Would love to see a custom difficulty mode where you can set a level cap of you own choosing, select between normal and aggressive enemy types, and temporarily pause/resume experience accumulation. Ideally you could change all of these settings at any time during your run not just when you start out your new game.

Speaking of dialogue: if a quote has 4/+ lines, I ended up not being always able to process all that's been said before the text scrolled up. I always ended trying to press Up/Backstep to try scrolling it back down (hey, many Visual Novels do that sort of thing!) only to be lost in the overall flow of the talk. An option to, if not scroll text back down, maybe have a log of the talk? You never know when an important clue was said if you read the stuff casually.

This is probably easy enough to code in as to qualify as a Minor Suggestion: Have a menu when making a new game+ so that, instead of carrying over everything automatically, one get a window where you can pick what gets carried over and what does not. This way players can decide what to keep of their progress in their next playthrough. The potential list would be: experience/level (includes familiar), gold, shard levels, inventory/gear, alchemy recipes, shop stock, food bonuses.
As it is, NG+ trivializes the game too much, even if it's nightmare. So having these choices allows the player to determine the degree of challenge on the next playthrough.

With a randomizer replacing Roguelike Mode, I'd like to see some other options added to it.
For instance, randomizing the statistics of items, so that armour and weapons aren't just in different places, but of different value. I think that would encourage trying out different weapons with different movesets.
Also, changing the victory requirements. Even if from a dropdown menu, more options than just beating Baal would be nice. At the least, options like "Beat all Bosses", "Collect all Story Shards", or "Complete all Quests".
...and speaking of quests, maybe add a few more places for Benjamin to wind up, so that his quest can be randomized too.

I would like an option to hide the visual appearance of some equipment and the passive shards.
Suggestion for future Bloodstained titles. I'd like Scythe weapons. Maybe have Miriam twirl them around her so they are different than axes?

Craft different weapon types with the Zangetsuto. Recently ive been doing playthroughs with just one weapon type and in order to get the good ending you need to use the Zangetsuto(Katana) Im one to make excpetions for these things but it would be nice to for example use shoe type that will slice the red moon.

A character creation/remodeling system like the ones in dark souls seems interesting to me. I may sound crazy, but I believe I am not the only one who finds Miriam's breasts too huge to be suitable for a relatively slim figure like her. Take a look at her thin arms and small head, it is really disturbing that her breast is nearly the same size as her head, which looks really unbalanced. Even Rul'sha and Vul'sha have better body shapes than her. Also, customizing facial features is always fun in these 3D games. I can spend hours tweaking those facial details. People love that feature.
