I know that CotM was handled by a different publisher, but that launch was a mess for backers. Do you think we'll have the same issue with RotN where people will be able to buy it before backers get their keys? Less than 8 hours left Eastern Time, guess time will tell.

I can only hope. PS4 here. I'd definitely like to play ASAP, but I'd feel worse for Iga if this becomes another blemish on this venture. It's obvious these guys are really trying, and the powers that be seem to enjoy complicating their lives.

Well as long as we actually get them tomorrow, that's OK, I just don't want to deal with more key issues. Bad enough that Ys Net backstabbed their PC backers (and slacker-backer in my case), if there was to by any sort of key issues with Bloodstained, that would be the last straw (in both sense since it's the last Kickstarter that I backed and will probably ever back). |

Well, it does seem that anyone receiving the codes will, in fact, be playing after non-backers get their hands on the game. Not to mention Switch users have to wait that extra week, as well. So I'd say that, technically, yeah, some backers won't be able to play the game before non-backers.

rav4ishing We get our codes sometime after the timer hits 0, pretty much. Waifu4Life , don't need to source that. People had already broken the street date for the game and there has been those already livestreaming/doing let's plays of the game this past week. So, pretty much, non-backers have already been playing before those of us that did back. Add the fact that the game would still need to download and update, since day 1 patch+backer content will both need to download. Depending on the game's file size, many will already be playing the game for at least 24hrs(if we're only counting backers that are receiving their games today and not the assclowns that managed to snag copies way in advance) before the rest can dig into it.
And as far as Switch copy release date, that's not exactly a secret.

Unless they start sending the codes out right now, the people who preordered digitally will have the game by 12 eastern/9 western tonight will by definition have the game before the backers that are getting the game digitally. |

From official twitter account (no mention of PS4 North America): "Here are the scheduled launch times for Bloodstained. June 18th, 2019 PS4 Europe - 12:01am PDT Xbox One - 12:01am PDT Steam - 8:00am PDT GOG - 8:00am PDT PS4 Asia (excluding Japan) - 8:00am PDT Backer codes are going out today as quickly as the platforms deliver them."

I figured :-) Although I'm not angry or frustrated about this delay for backers (but I totally understand why others are). I'm just glad after such a long time we finally got a brand spanking new Igavania. I wasn't being as critical on the beta build last year; I just simply enjoyed it and I craved more of it. |

There's a "Who's Got it?" thread up. Quite a few backers have already received their copies, mostly US/Mexico I think. I'm in Canada, I know mine's rapidly approaching, I'll probably get it tomorrow some time. So far, at least for physical backers, it looks as if it's going well.
