So, after 36 hours of no issues playing the Steam version (except a bugged IGA boss fight) I have encountered an extremely annoying bug. The game simply refuses to start up. All I get is a black screen for a second or two and after that I get kicked back to desktop. As far as I know the computer hasn't downloaded any windows updates or driver updates so there is no reason for it to not work. I have tried reinstalling the "UE4 Redistributables" package for Bloodstained, but that didn't help. I have tried disabling cloud sync and deleting my save files (after backing them up ofc) and nothing. I just want to 100% complete my game dammit!! Any ideas how to fix it?
UPDATE: After almost pulling out all of my hair and trying every single thing apart from completely reinstalling windows, it turns out the culprit was a NVIDIA driver 430.86 that ninja updated itself and completely broke every single game on my computer that runs on UE4. Thanks NVIDIA.

I preformed an attack animation underwater, preventing me from using Aqua Stream. Then I got stuck in a corner, trapping me and forcing me to waystone out. Attachments:

On the location shown in screenshot, there's a little alcove on the top above the water, I was sliding into it, what forced me into a crouch. In that crouch I slided to the right, into the water. Suddenly I wasn't able to jump or do anything else and was stuck. Luckily the Forneus I killed with a thrown bone (the first Forneus I ever killed) gave me his shard, which reseted my state and allowed me to jump back out. But after saving the game in the room above, I was able to replicate that bug right away. PS4 by the way.  |

I have everything in the game except for the Nose Glasses - which I have gotten in both NG, and NG+ - they just don't actually enter my inventory when I open the chest, and so they are still just question marks in the item list. So right now I can't get Item Collector either. Overlord with a 0.0% Achievement Rate is definitely a bit upsetting though. |

I'm not sure if you'd call this a bug so much as an unintended interaction, but the game doesn't handle the combination of Standstill with Gebel's Glasses well at all. Using this combination to attack enemies will quickly cause stutters and very noticeable lag spikes as the game struggles to keep up with what's happening. If you happen to be trying to farm enemies for drops - especially using something like Pickpocket, this lag can build to insane levels. To the point that if you keep it up for long enough, the game will freeze for several minutes after the combo is released as it struggles to catch up. That's on PC. I would imagine that attempting this (and it's something that people would very reasonably want to attempt) on consoles could risk crashing the system completely. (Also, I don't think most people would be as patient as I was in waiting for the program to respond.) |

Anyone else have screen glitches after defeating the 8-bit Demon Overlord? I've beaten him 7 times now and 5 of them as he is dying the screen gets pretty jerky and then freezes for several seconds before it calms and transports me back. I am playing on Switch version.

It hasn't happened every time but I've tried it a few more times and 7 of 10 times it does it at the moment you hit him with the final blow. Screen freezes, then glitches pretty bad and freezes again before it finishes the animation of the weapon hitting him. After that it goes back to normal as he fades. |

This isn't a bug per se, but rather a mistake in the demon list appendix:
Kamikaze's profile pic is wrong, it shows Macaron instead. They are the strongest and middle version of the demon cats respectively.

Any time I use that method to stack damage on an enemy. The longer I do it, the greater the effect. |

Seems like I was right to keep my expectations low for this game. Bought it recently because of the Overwhelmingly Good reviews on Steam and the positive reviews from gaming sites, played for about 5 hours and now the game won't stop crashing or freezing for God knows what reason. I've already tried some fixes suggested on reddit and on Steam and none of them worked. Since I already went past the refund window on Steam all I can do is hope they patch the game as fast as possible, but the silence from them has me worried. Already filled out the bug report, so all I can do now is wait.

Check your graphic card, it fixed for some. I have yet to get any crashes from the game, runs flawless here. Check if there is no conflict in virusprograms and such.
Sorry to hear you got issues with the current version of the game, and yeah, they are fixing a whole lot.

What seems to be working so far is a fix that I found on reddit where a user suggested making the game run on only two cores, but that's a really non-optimal fix as the games takes a hard hit on performance. I really hope a patch comes soon because I really enjoyed those 5 hours that I was able to play. |

On PS4 (fat-version) this boss-attack drop fps to very slow. i.imgur.com/tmlL3RK.jpgSometimes the white outline of some locations on the map disappears. Sometimes the game freezes when killing enemies. I do not know, a bug or not. When you use painting-shard and yoy move to another room, the paintings disappear. |
