It's only happened to me once, but I encountered a bit of a game breaking glitch pre 2nd update. I took damage during a death cutscene for a boss and my attack damage was permanently reduced to 10 from 65. I had no status effects on me, leaving the area didn't fix it, no amount of time fixed it, leveling up didn't bounce it back. Went from shelling out 65 damage to 3. Thankfully, I didn't save my game when it happened.
It's very unlikely anyone will encounter this but I figured I'd share.

I hope this does not carry into new game plus. I beat the game earlier because I was passed the point where I needed the item to proceed further.
But if it's still a problem, I wonder if I should just erase my game and start over fresh.
(I'm dreading redoing a few areas that had my anxiety triggering into damn near panic attacks, a tragic issue that makes enjoying even video games difficult at times.)

Not sure what causes this, but the text disappear at random. However, when I watch the same scene again, the text displayed normally.   I am playing the steam version, here's my spec: CPU: Intel i5-8250U @1.60GHz OS: Windows 10 (64bit) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce MX150 RAM: 8GB |

Regarding the open chest I deleted the game and installed again but stop the update and everything was back to normal all chest closed and my eos sword got back his normal attack

So I hate to rag on Question and 505 Games because I have really enjoyed the game up until now and have been excited to continue, but I am pretty pissed that not only does this bug regarding save files pre-1.02 patch breaking your ability to progress due to the chest issues, but that the only place I'm seeing it officially being acknowledged by the publisher is on the Bloodstained Discord. Not on these forums and not in a backer update. I had to hear about this second hand, then come on here to find corroborating claims, and then find Question saying something about it in the Discord. I'm over 65% of the way through, and I have no idea if I should bother proceeding because it might be worthless because I don't know if I'm past the point of needing specific chests to be accessible. This is frankly some crap communication from 505 Games. I know you all are probably in damage control mode with these bugs and I'm trying to be understanding, but it just highlights how rushed this whole release comes off as looking. |

the game can be completed without installing the 1.02 it does not matter if you have a save after just deleted the game and installed again

Ever since the second half of the game, I've been getting freezing constantly. It's weird. I can't seem to play longer than 20 minutes without a freeze. It's only been occurring since this morning. for now i find only one time a bug when i've save and game reamin stuck on save.
The only issue that i have and the backer id, the game not save or take it, already reported on the form here

These days games are ridiculous in their complexity but maintain the same expectations. A comparatively small team playing the game and looking for bugs will never fix the problems as fast as thousands of players doing innumerable things the designers may only have glimpsed in their most eldritch nightmares.
That said, I recall buying more than one game and being completely unable to play it at launch. At all. Ones that were far more expensive and with AAA backing up the yin-yang. I too am subject to the chest bug and will have to start over despite my meticulous farming, but I'm cool with that. At least I can play it.
I remember FF XIV's launch. Holy buckets, the rage was palpable even on the moon. No Man's Sky. Anthem. Star Citizen is a massive trainwreck. Borderland 3's internal weirdness makes the game's widely heralded legacy seem like it's on accident.
Things could indeed be far worse for a far greater price-tag. Heck, this isn't even a 'worse' situation, it's pretty damned good and responsive.

Mr. Welldone Generation Zero comes to mind.....afaik, that game is still practically broken and unplayable, with developers that only care if there is something good to say with the game. Had to get a refund on it, back in April. Though, seen some complaints that RotN is 'too expensive' for a game of its type, which is just odd. But, agreed, there are many games that launch horribly and other than some hiccups, it's gone better than most for RotN, but still plenty of hiccups happening.

Maybe something borked slightly after yesterdays patch? I usually get notified through steam if I get any sort of update. I also verified the integrity of the game files, I still get constant freezes. Looking on the steam forums, I hear people having the same issue. It makes progress almost impossible. |

I found a bug in the discovery of the map on PS4. I am 99.60% of the map and entering a new area does not increase the percentage. is it the second time I restart the game as I solve it?
