I may find myself still wishing I had saved money for the $1,000 tier too, but I'm pretty satisfied with the $500 "Architect's Secret Map" reward.

I started with 60 bucks for a physical PS4 copy, after a while + the first demo I added another 28 for a digital Vita copy. After Switch release I reconsidered and „Switched“ over. Then another while later + second demo I started to think, if that would really satisfy me.. with the announcement to close the survey and being totally overhyped by the demo I added like a few others here another 240.
However on last minute I reconsidered again and changed into digital PS4 and physical Switch.
In opposite to others, who started to whine about the specs of the Switch version, I didn‘t care about it. I believe that Team IGA will do their best, to deliver the best possible experience.
To honor that, I started to replay his legacy, starting with Aria and continuing on Harmony via Wii U.

I still have to understand the concept that criticizing a technical aspect that could've been better equals to "whining". I understand that we're in the official forums but the atmosphere since the Beta is really rubbing me the wrong way. What is this apparent aura of perfection and criticism rejection?

freddythemonkey I don't think sylver really means absolutely everyone who was concerned about the Switch version was "whining", nor do I think it's confined to this forum site. Said concerns over the performance of the Switch version are legitimate, and have been addressed so far as I recall, but I've also seen a few people across the web (mostly on external articles/Disqus comments) accusing the developers of "scamming" buyers just because of that specific version, or attacking other people because they still want the game despite the problems it had at the time. There were times when I couldn't tell whether they were completely serious or trolls. It could just be that dealing with a few individuals over the years who actually seemed like they had nothing better to do with their time other than spreading misinformation, or hurling insults at the developers, has made it a bit harder to tell legitimate criticism apart from angry shitposting.

Galamoth yeah those people are annoying and frankly not justifiable because one thing is legitimate criticism, another is to irritate people on purpose, spewing gratuitous hate. We've also had the opposite. I don't mean sylver's comment specifically (in this case it might just be me getting oversensitive over stupid stuff, but I do believe the Internet desensitized us; words have a precise weight and saying that "people were whining" over stuff, generalizing, is a pretty strong statement), but I recalled some baffling posts when the MAC/Linux problem was at its peak of discussion. So I agree with you that those trolls/annoying people aren't doing anyone any favors and are, in fact, very unpleasant, but we shouldn't give in to the need to overcompensate with "absolute" positivity. I feel that the game did well enough on its own on that particular front, with the trailer showcasing improvements that were, in fact, born from the thorough criticism we conducted in the Beta period.

Like Galamoth guessed, I wasn‘t referring to everyone, I used the word „whine“ more as metaphor, for the ones who are poisoning the atmosphere on purpose. Right now I am in a state of ultimate hype.. so I‘m all possitive. Since this is the official forum and not Trollhausen, I expected you guys would get me right ;-)

I was going for the Ayami Kojima cover no matter what, so spending less than $100 was never on the table, but part of me wishes I'd sprung for the $175 tier so I could get the artbook and a spare digital copy. The artbook mainly because I love the look of the game and the character designs, but the digital copy is more complicated. Originally I backed for PS4 because I wasn't too confident in the Wii U port and given how that turned out I don't regret that choice. When the Switch release was announced I almost changed my survey then but held off because I assumed it would take longer(at this point even just a week is too long for me) or possibly have technical issues, but god help me after years of playing Castlevania on the GBA and DS I really want a copy of this game I can play on the go.

How about everyone else, do you wish you had spent more... or maybe even less now that we are almost to the end of this journey? Also I never heard anything about the things like the stained glass pieces or the silver rings or the dinner with IGA, what it was like to get your pet into the game or help design a room. I'm curious if anyone can show pictures, tell stories now or after the games release. I haven't heard anything either, still waiting to be asked my ring size.... *twiddle thumbs*

qaantarWill be big time jealous when you get that ring, I suppose IGA's waiting till he can dedicate the amount of attention silver work deserves.

roguedragon05 -- that's what I'm hoping! It would be cool if they filmed the process, or parts of it, too. It's funny, though, thinking back -- I had saved up to replace my windows, but used the $$ for the tier upgrade instead. Priorities, right?
