Yes sir! Alright, anime recommendations... Seto no Hanayome, one of the funniest animes I've ever seen. Wait, you're not a mod!I loved that anime, but I couldn't watch it until the end. Sub release issues. And then I forgot about it. I am so a mod! ... on another forum.

I don't have much of a problem with them, it's just that compiling them and making an average score is idiotic. Also, we're getting pretty off-topic here so we should call it quits. ...Wait a sec, you should be the one saying that! Start yelling and oppressing like a mod should already! Y-you're right! Roar!! *starts throwing ban hammers* *Ahem* This season for me there are two animes that catch my attention: Chaos Dragon and Charlotte. At least for now, they are very promising. For this post then, I shall recommend Psycho-Pass.

myanimelist.net/animelist/Thrashinuva (I forgot I set this to private, I'll fix it when my phone isn't being dumb) For reference. I rate anime based on how much I personally enjoy it. I don't have a 7-10 rating system, but odds are that if it goes much lower than that then I am probably not going to rate it and I'm probably not going to finish it. I watch a lot of different kinds of anime. Shounen, shoujo, sports, action, slice of life, horror, sci-fi, mystery, fantasy... Some more of my favorites: MysteryHyouka Psycho Pass (horror/sci-fi) Detective Conan Ranpo Kitan Game of Laplace (horror) SportsOne Outs (baseball) Kuroko's Basketball Baby Steps (tennis) Ginga e Kickoff (soccer) FantasySteins;Gate (sci-fi top pick!) Nanatsu no Taizai (action) Amagi Brilliant Park Blood Lad Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in Dungeons? (Action) Durarara No Game No Life (top pick!) That'll be all for now. Those are all pretty much fantastic. NGNL gets the kind of hate FF7 got. The anti-fan hate, and I never felt it was justified.

thrashinuva, you mentioned No Game No Life. I fell in love with that anime and gave it 10/10 the moment I heard the word: Hydrogen Bomb . You'll know what I mean.

NGNL gets the kind of hate FF7 got. The anti-fan hate, and I never felt it was justified. It doesn't warrant hate. It's just easy for popular shows to attract negativity as you have people who that hate whatever is popular, those who hate that their series of choice isn't the most popular and then you have the pseudo-intellectual crowd that takes themselves too seriously and can't enjoy plain, simple, silly fun. Said groups all have confidence issues, so they put up an arrogant and aggressive stance when their opinions aren't validated.

Junketsu no Maria is a very good one too. Really liked the protagonist. Here's an interesting video that got me interested in this anime: This guy is pretty much a medieval combat scholar, and reviews many different types of weapons. He even talks about fictional weapons, and whether they're practical, a funny video being him talking about Monster Hunter weapons. I've been subscribed to him for a while now.

For this post then, I shall recommend Psycho-Pass. I'm still recommending Gakkou Gurashi to anyone and everyone. And once again, don't look up any information about it. The less you know about the show going into it, the better it is. Other strong recommendations for this season: Overlord - Part Sword Art Online, part Captain N: the Game Master; the MC is Skeletor. Animated by Madhouse. Ushio to Tora - Do you like 90s action/adventure anime? This is pretty much that with modern animation standards. Rokka no Yuusha - fantasy/adventure that isn't yet another RPG-come-to-life show with a Meso-American aesthetic veneer and featuring Fantasy-Batman as the MC GATE - The Japanese Defense Force explores a parallel fantasy dimension and fights dragons. There are some others that I'm watching that I like, but haven't quite gotten to the point where I would really recommend them to anyone yet. Jitsu wa Watashi wa is looking pretty good in the romcom department(and it features a dense vampire girl who speaks in a Kansai dialect), and Shimoneta is worth a try if you like crude humor.

"7/10, it's shit" "8/10, it's one of the best shows I've ever watched" "1/10, mein charcter sux" I don't think it evens out. One of the reasons I'm switching over to Hummingbird is that in addition to the point-based scoring system(they have 5 stars with half scoring allowed, so basically a 10 point system), they have an alternate scoring system that gives the options of like, dislike and indifferent. Like so:

^That seems like a more sensible solution.
Also, OverLord is akin to Log Horizon, not SAO (thankfully).

My own list is purely to satisfy myself. I use it because I can't keep track of the things I'm currently watching, and the things that I've already watched. It should be obvious that if I've forgotten that I've watched it, I'll have also forgotten how much I liked it. The score it's like a paragraph to myself that tells me how much I liked it or how disappointing it was, only instead of a paragraph it's simply a number.
The negative to positive scale is neat and would be great if you wanted to show everyone else what you liked or didn't like, but it doesn't serve my purposes.

I really like your list but I personally don't think Kara no Kyoukai movies deserve score of 10. That's because he's a Type Moon fan, as I am. Although I do like Kara no Kyoukai too, I can see why people might not like it. I'm also a quite a fan of Type Moon stuff. I think it maybe due to the fact that I read the novel for Kara no Kyoukai and got disappointed by the movie interpretation since I really loved the novel. Same reason why I hate on Tsukihime anime.

For those that use MyAnimeList, you should use graph.anime.plus with it. It analyzes your list and gives you graphs, recommendations, and other neat stuff. Best thing I like about it is the achievement-like system based on how many animes/mangas you've seen/read. Example of achievements: So I'm apparently an expert in romance, and slice-of-life animes. Maxed them both out. There is no way you can place the Kara no Kyoukai anime on a level anywhere near Tsukihime anime. I've also read the novels, and the only problem I'd see would be how they adapted the 6th chapter. It was much more lighthearted. Ufotable still did a great job at adapting the Type-Moon animes, unlike Deen or J.C.Staff.

Wow, Just finished watching Nisekoi. It's a distillation of the typical anime romance that doesn't actually go anywhere. Pretty much "Misunderstandings and Missed Opportunities: the Anime." The humor is great though, and it's by Studio Shaft. I'd recommend it as long as you don't need actual plot resolution in your stories.
