Hi all, I'd like to share my fan arts and find more friends here. 1. The first time I saw Iga and his new Metroidvania on KS, I cannot believe it--- We have not seen new Metroidvania games for 7 years, I'm eager to play it! Then I became a backer. And I saw Miriam-- wow, a tormented girl, just like Shanoa... That is what attracted me to her. I drew this pic on the third funding day and sent it to Tumbler. link2. It's hard to describe how excited I am when we finished all goals in the last day. So I draw this one. link3. An exercise. link4. Today I tried the pixel image. Not bad.  I can program 2D ACT games (with very limited functions because I am an amateur). Maybe after finishing all the related materials, I'll make a game for Bloodstained fans.. Since you've already got enough praise I'll give you just a bit of constructive criticism.
The walking animation is pretty off. Without going into too much detail, the legs move too little to the front and too much to the back.
When you walk you put your weight on the leg that "goes back" while making the advance with the other. Here the advances are too little while the supporting leg is at an angle where it wouldn't be able to properly do the supporting, considering the pace.
It's not that much of an issue, you just treated walking a bit too much like it was running.
If you actually changed the arm movement it would make for a good jogging animation, actually.

Thanks. I'll modify them. Just start trying to make pixel images, there is much to learn. In fact it is easy to draw these images but it takes me plenty of time to adjust them, and it is boring without apparent effect. Anyway, I'll keep updating them. I do not need much praise-- I want to make a daily report to show my love to Bloodstained. I'll be glad if I can see more members share their excellent fan arts.  |

I'm trying to follow this random guide I found to improve my skills (the lack of spare time it's my main concern...) and I'm using GraphicsGale, I think it has great features even using it's free version. I'm also using Let's 8 Bits Art on the go, I found it to be the best Android app for pixelart I could find! Do you have any reccomendations for us interested in spriting/pixelarting??? (= Thanks =) |
