What has been achieved so far;

pre-hard mode almost done in an expert world

eye, king slime, brain, queen bee and skeletron beaten (in that order I think) (every single one redoable except skeletron because of lack of npc housing for now)

only surface has been fully explored

2 floating island found (sky bridge incomplete)

A mysterious locked underground temple has been found in the jungle

unable to battle against eater of world - expert because of the crimson presence

hellevator done but not safe (woops, my bad, kinda)

hell not ready to spawn the wall

NPC housing incomplete

systematic storage achieved

Many MANY deaths, ha ha

Every biome mostly superficially explored (I barely explored the dungeon as for myself, leon didn't either as far as I know)

Most bothering issue found so far; not enough accessories for everyone (only one lucky horseshoe has been found so far for example)

Proposed solution; open outside ressources that has been collected in both A. an expert world and B. acquirable pre-hard mode (post-wall equipment are generally too much better)

Ok, maybe we could have been friendlier with the newcomers by not playing in a expert world but hey, it was the *new* thing with new items

Terraria have 4 things you want to work on:

- life

- armor

- tools and weapon

-accessories

You can upgrade your life only by finding life crystal underground (pink/red big heart jewel in the underground), explore where no others players have been! (the maps is huge, there should be plenty not found yet) Me and Leon are often ready to go adventuring, as well as any members who also need to upgrade gear/life your starting life total is only 100 at the beginning, and 400 at maxed out health. the best pots we can get right now only heals you of 100 hp, keep that in mind, and make you heal sickened for a minute

By digging, you'll most likely find ores to makes armor, that will be helpful to not quite as often, but as your defense will get higher, you need to learn enemies pattern, and learn techniques to keep them at bay. You can always ask for better armor that we don't use (don't feel ashamed, even with 30 more armor rating (that's about the best we can get right now) you'll probably die often anyway because the trick is to not get hit (can be hard no matter the experience)); even if you didn't work for it, you'll still need to explore the underground a lot to upgrade your life, tool of utility and accessory (15 life crystals to max health is quite a lot) also you get a set bonus if you're wearing 3 part of the same set of armor (out of 3)

Tool have many tier, but it goes most likely by this chart; wood<tin<iron<silver<platinum (you always need a better pickaxe at each tier almost for the following)<crimtane(boss loot)=?meteorite(need plat pick or maybe silver?)<hellstone(hell is really hard)<. You'll also find by exploring chest that contains useful items that let you for example return to spawn while keeping your gold (useful to make purchase for thing as the minishark, a good ranged weapon only buyable to a npc (the arm dealer)) (I use the minishark quite often in boss battle!)

Accessory (usually findable in any chest) are not rare but they are few of the same type, they'll give you most of the most useful skills such as double jumping (chest, quite rare), negating fall damage (chest maybe max 2-3 per world), negate poison (monster drop), negate burn (craftable), dash (boss drop) and many other effects. One you might want somewhat soon is the rocket boots (buyable) which allow you to boost your jump buyable at the tinker for a low price of 5 gold. You might want the one to negate fall damage but you'll probably need to seek it out in another world (it's THAT rare) (easier to find in a small not expert world btw)

when you feel comfortable enough you will want to tackle the first boss; the eye. He's quite hard and you'll most likely die if you're alone, but don't worry, me and leon died at every boss the first time (the first 10 times for skeletron, I swear), and we like to redo them to find rare loot. You need to learn to participate, cooperate, look for patterns and strategize. For example, even if skeletron was at the other side of the map, when one of us died during the winning fight against skeletron, we use potions to instantly teleport back into the fight and about each of us died even if we won at the end! (we NEEDED to be AT LEAST 3 for this fight, we were getting annihilated when trying on our own, and even with us 3 we were very close to losing)

Don't worry, we've been rushing a lot (I'm not sure why, nobody is ready for the wall just yet) but slowing down would be a good idea, to let every character max out health at least, you can ask to redo any of the bosses any time you want you know! (but we might lose xD)
