A poll since you guys seems divided, which is good. This is a forum after all. See with your cast, which of the options rule. This could perhaps help the developers dwell over the outcome, if changed.
Keep the fonts & styles in menus and when talking cutscenes as is (E3 2017 demo). This to let all people read with easy, even old or those with eyesight problems. Clean interface in both menu and NPC / cutscenes are the best choice in my opinion.
Change the fonts & styles in menus and when they have cutscenes into a more gothic font (text-style). (Side-note: They had a more gothic theme in early alpha of Bloodstained, but changed it during development).
Change the font at cutscenes, but keep the menu style/font clean. This to get a special flow and both for the price of one. Cutscenes and npc text-talk should be gothic in style since its a bit more alive, while the menu are more like books and statistics.
Options to choose between the two interfaces. Change 2-3 different fonts for the npc / cutscene text-talk. And 2-3 different fonts for the menu. These two would of course be "clean" and the other one "gothic". A third one could be an alternative gothical one.
Mods could allow for different font packs to be downloaded, for free. If this won't happen, my vote will go to 'Options to choose'.
I have no opinion, whatever works. I support either way.
Edit: Since people don't know about the demo. Click here for video-reference on what people are talking about. Look first couple of minutes, ignore the rest to save you the "first experience" feel.

I might end up changing my vote after playing the Beta Backer Demo, but I really dig the idea of having a few different fonts to choose from. That way, the people with reading problems and the people who fundamentally loath sans-serif text in fantasy games could potentially both be catered to. I realize that such granular text customization options are pretty rare in games, even visual novels, but it might be worthwhile nevertheless.

I'm somewhere between keep the fonts and no opinion. All I care about is readability. I don't think it needs to be changed but if the devs want to change it then I'm not going to be bothered by the decision.

allooutrick They have changed it into easier text to read from early developer days. I bet this is the font they want to use, but not limited to.

I don't mind it, though I'm a bit torn on it looking too "stock". One of the concerns that pops up around the net is that the game won't do enough to differentiate itself visually, and fall into the trap that a lot of Unity games suffer from where they all manage to look the same due to using default shaders/physics/etc.

Yeah, it's just the one that gets spread around as the biggest offender for that kind of thing. The problem turns up in Unreal as well when devs rely too much on what's in the box without customizing it. The same could be said for any engine really, it's more that the bigger ones tend to have a look/flavor to their defaults that makes them easy to pick out after a while. If you've ever seen posts getting fed up with artists for being guilty of "sameface", it's the same sort of deal, where the repetition drives some people to distraction.
