I'm a big fan of Candara. It has a nice, slight fantasy edge to it while still being very readable. There are mods for the Steam versions of FINAL FANTASIES III and IV that use Candara in the place of Arial (one of the many strange leftovers from the mobile ports). I don't know how font licenses work, though, so I don't know how easy it would be to use in a commercial product.  |

Is there any forum section where there is any chance of a developer see this? When the beta backer demo hits on 6/21, we will have a thread dedicated specifically for the purpose of feedback from it. That is actually the #1 goal and mission of it being released, so look for that. |

Well, the reason there are font mods for the Steam versions of FF3 and 4 is because the DS versions (and I believe the PSP version of FF3 by extension) use Candara. It does look better than Arial for a lot of people, myself included. |

For the large text in the game itself, even something simple like Georgia would add a bit more style without making it any more difficult to read. How this would affect other languages such as Japanese that don't use the same letter set is where it seems that things could end up getting more complicated.
I hear if you want something to be really classy you have to go with Comic Sans though.
