Judging from what I've seen of him in the past, I'd imagine IGA still feels at least partly responsible, despite he and ArtPlay having nothing to do with Inti Creates' mistake. Well, that's not entirely true. All of this stuff isn't exactly a pure "Inti Creates' mistake". It depends too on which issue we're talking about. For region 3, ArtPlay (Iga) did assume that Japan region copies/codes would work with Asia PSN accounts, when Inti Creates had not planned on releasing an Asia version. Similar to the GoG thing, it just shouldn't have been an option in the surveys because it wasn't a thing. You could argue this was a communication problem/due to timeframe issues. For the EU problems, that's pretty different. We don't even know what all is involved in that issue, but whatever it is definitely isn't ArtPlay's domain. Delay of codes/not coinciding with release is as you see in Mike's post there, on top of whatever other manufacturer turnaround issues. The important thing again is that everybody is working together the best they're able at this point in time to make things right (the gears I mentioned), and to not shoulder blame on one party during so. Iga however is the leader and wants to take responsibility for the brand's happenings as such. That's the best way in these things to move forward I think. |

Galamoth Oh.. IGA will most likely make an official apology, which would make me question the logic of our world, again. Its not his fault to that degree. Stand-alone mini-retro spin off game is not the main game. I do not think it will backlash too much, since those that got the codes seems enjoying the game. Being a hardcore fan, we try to look under every rock and pebble for information. This might go in public too, which must happen if it backlash on IGA. There must be a way to make it clear its not his fault for the codes. On the other hand, too much negativity around it isn't good at all for the marketing. They are fixing at least.

purifyweirdshard Oh, I understand that. I was specifically referring to Inti Creates' own handling of the code problem. Iga's responsible for giving them CotM to develop, and Bloodstained is over-all his project, but the process (and initiative) was all on Inti Creates from that point on. I'm not going to place 100% of the blame all on Inti Creates, in-part because I enjoy many of the games they've made... but I'd at least say they were the largest part of this whole problem, and even their recent Twitter response seemed a bit sleazy in the moment.

I certainly don't blame IGA for this and I don't feel right that he is taking all the blame. I should add that Fangamer has done everything they can in my case so far. They even gave me a full Steam version of the game because my EU code didn't work. Too bad I can't use that code since I don't have a computer I can play the game on.

So the game is finally out on Xbox One in NA but not Europe even after a two week delay. Did they give out the backer codes for X1 yet? Can you confirm or deny this please XombieMike ? |

I've asked in the discord and no one honestly seems to know about the Xbox One codes. I've gotten one for CotM for Steam, but I backed to have a digital copy on X1 and haven't received a code for that yet, myself. I guess the only thing I can do is sit and wait.

I've read some comments here, and I definitely agree that IGA shouldn't be responsible for the issues with COTM codes, as he didn't even work on the game.
I can't blame Fangamer either, as they tried hard to fix the issue, and they gave me a permanent Steam code in the meantime, since my EU code is not working.
All things considered, it seems Inti Creates is responsible for this.
