Guess I'll do a thing! Name's JB. Been playing Castlevania since the NES but really fell in love with the Igavanias. Replayed them multiple times to max level and getting all the items, stats, enemy drops, etc. Only person I know among my friends that maxed out Shanoa's attributes. 4 times. ... I don't have issues. When I heard inklings that Igarashi was gonna kickstart a thing my wallet started vibrating in eagerness. Then it never came. Then SwordOrWhip showed up. And when it finally went up on that Monday I couldn't back fast enough and managed to be backer #515. So here's to playing Bloodstained on PS4 and Vita with cross save! ... and the PC beta. ... And maybe Wii U. ... and the prequel games. I *said* I don't have issues. Welcome to the Army of the Night! You sound right at home here.

Not that any of us are complaining about being "cursed" with the desire to play some Igavania action.

Now if only I could learn Japanese that way, then I could buy Japanese scripted games....gaming backlog would be HUGE!! I wish it would be this easy^^ some thing remains a mystery for me... There are so many words describing the same thing in my eyes-.- Like Flash,Lightning and Bolt;Heaven and Sky;Forest and Woods;Ocean and Sea;little and small etc.. As well the grammatics... you can´t learn everything from Games and Subtitles-.- And english is called easy to learn, japanese is much more difficult, even if you understand it a little and can talk a little does not mean you can read or write Kanji;)

Thousands of Kanji... maybe just about as many as in Chinese. You don't have to actually memorize those 50,000+ kanji. 2,000 is fine for everyday use, and 5,000 is for people who work as a university professor.

I suppose I should officially introduce myself....
I grew up playing the Castlevania series, so I was absolutely thrilled when this Kickstarter went live -- and I went all in...!
I use the same name on KS... different avatar, though (green tea dog).
I'm mostly interested on the music side of things, though, so you'll see me haunting those passageways more than the rest.

HIYA! I'm Adam both in real life and on the Kickstarter page (my avatar is a Mareep). Nice to meet ya all! I'm obviously a huuuge IGAvania fan. The things I like the most about IGAvanias: 1. Exploration, finding multiple paths to explore is super fun. 2. Collecting, finding hundreds of cool weapons, armor and spells is very exciting! 3. Smooth Gameplay, hard to pinpoint, but jumping, hackin' and slashin' has always been very easy and fun to do in IGAvanias. I hope to have many interesting discussions about Bloodstained here! ^___^

Hi. Just found out you have a fan forum here for the game and since I backed it (through paypal though, so you won't recognize me from Kickstarter) I'd thought I'd join~
I'm Ashblade most everywhere around the internet, or some form of it (Ashknife, Ash the Phantom, etc.)
This game seemed like one I'd very much enjoy so I felt I had to back it. Can't wait to play and nice to meet you all.

I guess my introduction is a bit overdue. Hi, I'm Troy McClure. You may remember me from such postings as "Skeletons: anorexic or just undead" and "How much whine is really healthy"... ... okay, okay in all honesty, my name is Florian Bingart and you really know me from such postings as Bloodstained: The road to a castle a wish towards IGA's team about the contents of their updates and [Guide] How to enjoy yourself, while the castle gets build a thread about how you should approach this kickstarter, post-release. As many of you, I love the sense of wonder video game brings and the interactive entertainment. I sometimes watch the regular tv show, but my true heart lies with tokusatsu shows, especially (but not limited to) Kamen Rider. Since I enjoyed the Metroidvania Castlevania and having played most of them (my last one was Portrait of Ruin). and other entries in the Castlevania franchise, Bloodstained was great from me. With backing Mighty No. 9 as to be part as a rejuvantion and reboot of Mega Man in the form of our daring dasher Beck, Bloodstained also gave me the opportunity to be part of a new take of a dormant ip, while being there at the start of it. Currently I use this forums irregularly and for the time being it will be so (the very next week saturday I am leaving for Japan for two weeks straight!), but don't worry I will drop by from time to time. Just please don't expect me to read it all... I promise i will read the important stuff. You will see me occasionally opening one or another thread and mainting another and I'm happy to chime in whatever conversation catches my eye (there is only so much time, you know)! Since it's already late in Euro~land, I bid my fare-well and wish you a good night's rest. Just don't wake up with bite-marks on your neck... unless that is your wish!

I'll introduce myself as well.
While I owned a SNES, I never got to experience a Castlevania game myself, although I've seen playthroughs of them and realize that it deserves it's fame. A few years ago I moved over to PC gaming exclusively, and along the way got to play a few indie metroidvania games and other types of action platformers. I realized that I really loved this genre, and when I heard that the father of the genre himself was making a new game through kickstarter, I knew I had to jump on board.
As for the boards, I heard about them from one of the Bloodstained steam groups and figured it would be a nice place to go if I wanted to get my bloodstained fix (though I probably won't post much until we hear some more update news, as I can't really discuss potential similarities to Castlevania games, having never played them). You all seem very nice so far and it's a pleasure to meet you.
