A regular day. Do linear algebra stuff, and try to figure out what's going on between those MATLAB codes. And I spent most of my spare time to find a decent controller for me. I'm locking on Logitech Rumblepad 2 for now, and found some second-handed sellers are selling it around 15$. Trying to contact them for more info, if there's no other problem I'm gonna take it. Also, any recommendation is appreciated! I need controllers that have great D-pad since I like to play retro action/platformers and fighting games. Analog sticks I don't care that much but sometimes I also play STG so it's better than nothing I think? Ah... MATLAB.... those were the days.... Still remember using it to create a Midi synthesizer for my DSP class in college. And also using it to test a visual tracking algorithm for my senior project.  In fact I think I still have copies of that code.... somewhere... As far as gamepads go, are you looking for one for a console or a PC? If it's for a PC, while it's old the Hammerhead FX controllers were pretty good and they're (semi-)compatable with Steam. I actually have two of them. One is the original 3dfx Hammerhead which I can't use as it needs a actual 15-pin joystick port and the other is the "re-released" version made by interact that has a USB connector. I'm not sure if the ones they are selling are the joystick port version or the USB version. Also, they depict the joystick version with a USB adapter. But I'm not sure if it comes with that or not. Yes I need it for PC, but I can't find this one anywhere in my country (International Shipping is something that I can't afford too)... and I've already taken Rumblepad 2 early this day Ah... Well Interact (who bought 3dfx VooDoo) as far as I know is basically dead and gone so those few of those controllers that are still on the market are the last there will probably ever be. I need to go look to see if someone makes a USB to 15-joystick port adapter so I can see if I can get my original Hammerhead to work. |

Going to go out today and create value in my community, for instance I've been noticing that there's an increasing amount of trash on the ground in my neighborhood... So I'm going to pick it up. If no one else will do it, I shall go forth and do it myself! Developing my stand alone spirit

Day for me is still a little up in the air. Might be pretty good. I might get to add a Luna Moth to my collection at home Edit: Looks like I'll be getting that Moth after all. ^_^ It didn't fly away before the end of the day and passed on on its own. |

I luckily didn't have to work so I spent most of my day laying around eating pizza, fried chicken, icecream and playing Don't Starve & Harvest Moon FOMT. I feel guilty now because I am probably going to get fatter.

OMG, I don't know what to say... It's just, good to know somebody would find you in the crowd and saying "hey you're cute"...
I've been a nerdy guy for such a long time, now I'm feeling kinda saved. No matter we finally become lovers or not.
Maybe this is a good sign for the beginning of REAL LIFE, just for me...

It was a great day to end a fine work week. I just started a new job and they're having a family fun day tomorrow for all employees. There will be hot dog hot dog hot diggidy dogs, snow cones (I live in Florida and the sun melts your face off), cotton candy (candy makes you dandy), multiple bounce houses for the kiddies (after eating sugar, ya gotta wear em out)...I just hope the staff's kids don't do anything crazy to upset their parents. It would be embarrassing to have to scold your child at the place of employment.
Also, I'm 25 pages away from finishing Stephen King's book titled Gerald's Game. It's a really good book by an extremely talented writer. Well, that's all for now.

Very nice day today! I went out to a German restaurant and got a ton of yummy stuff to eat. I got: Maultauschen (German dumplings filled with meat) Kaesepaetzle (Cheese spaetzle--spaetzle is pretty much thick German noodles) Jaeger Schnitzel (Schnitzel is a kind of breaded pork, Jaeger Schnitzel is that with gravy and mushrooms) and a Linzer Torte (a little raspberry tart) for dessert. I also got a side of extra spaetzle and some spudsters (little fried mashed potato bites) on the side. Now im just relaxing, maybe playin some more Toukiden |
