Spent all day at a youth division meeting for my Buddhist practice! Got to meet alot of people and shared experiences with them, definitely made some lasting golden memories. ^_^

Watched the kiddo most of the day so mommy could have a break. Baked cookies, then went to a community BBQ so I could mooch free food. Had cotton candy, played some games =)

Day 2 of the champions of the new era Buddhist training meeting! The energy was brimming with fresh determination as many youth leaders made vows to overcome various hardships that they were going through in their lives, my heart was touched. We forged friendships that will last a lifetime ^_^
With all the negativity one can witness in our world, this gives me hope for the future of humanity, that we all can win in our daily lives and become absolutely happy no matter what obstacles we face

That's awesome Motoko ! I have actually begun learning the ways of Buddhism after a Buddhist family had taken me and helped me out earlier this year. Learned a lot that has changed my life for the better. Glad it has went well, and I hope it continues to go well for your group!  On the topic of today, it had been pretty good since it was my day off. Just relaxed with my family and did a bit of housework. Although I am sad with the passage of Satoru Iwata, I shall try to keep the positivity going! |

I was super tired all day today wanted to sleep but I kept getting company or other interruptions. I finally managed to get a few hours sleep then wake up to the sad Iwata news. So now I am tired and a little bit sad and I have been sitting here drinking a beer... started watching the Jurassic World movie but I am tired so I don't know if I am going to make it all the way through.

Aw man, what a day. The bad: Had some tummy troubles. The good: Got a good deal of work done on my fanfic and managed to play a good bit of Toukiden: Kiwami, too! Now, tomorrow...I'll have to make some calls to see if the Library of Congress can send me some materials I need for my dissertation, and then go to the library to pick up some books I need for it, and then write more fanfiction.  ;; |

God damn it I just chipped my perfectly clean laptop with a kichen knife to cut some meat even though I was thinking "I should probably not do that next to my laptop" and next thing I know... ARGHHH. It's tiny and on an unimportant part but it's going to bother me forever! Time to look into a new $2000 laptop... I... I can only blame myself, I know... orz  |

Had my last meeting for my Independent study today. I've been working on learning the ins and outs of game journalism and was lucky enough to get Johnny Wilson (former editor of PC gaming world magazine) to be my supervisor. I'm really glad that my work has been paying off there.
