The other day I read some scripture and spoke at my uncle's funeral. It was...difficult but my family said I did a good job. I then had to drive all the way to LA(it's a 1 hour+ trip) to drop off my cousins, then on the way pick up another family member from the airport then head home. Needless to say, the following day I was completely out of it and tired and had a massive headache.
Then the next day I went bowling with a lady friend I hadn't seen in forever. Cool stuff. I haven't bowled in a long time. Out of 3 games, I was the victor.
Today, I tried the new Hero sandwich at Subway. It was amazing, so I'm having it again soon. I also got the Alan Wake bundle on Humble Store. I tried Outland, my only two gripes are the physics and the pace breaking loading times. I also tried Alan Wake which is a cross between Silent Hill and Max Payne storytelling(and gameplay wise). It also has the setting of Twin Peaks and the black humor of Max Payne(once again). That's my first impression of it. It runs great on my PC.

 Doing better, can do more than before, but still taking things easy....had to open a case with Ebay over the jackass that never shipped Order of Ecclesia and that never responded to a single message sent to them and re-ordered via a different seller. Otherwise, just recovering and roaming. |

I only want to play Ace Attorney and Professor Layton, but what else could I play with this? (excluding Pokemon, I'm not really into it.)

Bravely Default has the most similarities to FFIII and FFV with its job mechanics. Though it's also its own entity, with new mechanics. (FFIII and FFV didn't have anything remotely resembling the Brave Points mechanic.)
I should warn that Bravely Default pulls a Ghosts N' Goblins four times over. It's justified in the plot, but it's a horrible, horrible way to make a game longer.

So my day at work tomorrow is going to be an interesting one to say the least...... I get to go in and give my two weeks notice for a job I've held for almost 9 years...... Still not sure how I feel about all of this but regardless it's too late to turn back now... Very weird because the new job is requiring that I move.... To another state no less..... Not terribly far but it will be the first time I've done such a move.
...... Still not sure how I feel about it all......

I just learned that a local indie film I was an extra in is going to debut at a film festival with a bunch of international movies. I will be unable to attend the premiere (the only badges left are too expensive) and the movie itself won't be getting a wide release (it'll most likely show up at a handful of indie theaters), but it's still cool knowing something where I was in the background for about 5 seconds is getting some publicity.

Went to Gamestop today. Picked up my pre-order for Super Mario Maker, set a pre-order for Samurai Warriors 4-II, and picked up an Olimar amiibo.  And that'll probably be my last video game related purchases this year, excluding the holiday season.
My nephew is probably going to flip out and beg me non-stop for a chance to play the game once he knows I have SMM. (Been dodging the question of pre-ordering it when talking to him about the game. Because, while I love my nephew, I've come to find it rather tiresome to be begged over nearly every game I get.) |
