Payment sent! As to the message, I was thinking about mentioning how much his previous games mean to us. That's a bit obvious I guess, but still I spent a lot of time in my teen years playing his games, waiting for them after first previous or making my own website about them (and learning a lot of stuff in the process). They were the reason my family bought me GBA SP, NDS, PSP and PS2 (and it was after I played many of PSX/GBA era Castlevanias to death on emulators, happy times). I remember getting Castlevania games as a Christmas present a lot of times. I think his work in a lot of ways defined a kind of gamer and, eventually, game developer (or maybe even person?) I am today. So it would be great to thank him for these beautiful memories on such occasion as his birthday. Also, I really like Scars Unseen's idea with "miserable book of secrets".

For what the card says, here's what I thought of:

During SXSW I learned directly from IGA that his name "Igarashi" means "Fifty Storms". For those of us who have contributed to this gift and for those of us who joined IGA during his 50th birthday I have created a group on the forum as a way for us to remember the special event. You should already be part of the group, and depending on your current settings you may already see that in your mini profile. To switch back to the rank determined by how many times you have posted, or to select another group that may be available to you do the following: Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Settings > Scroll down to Display Group and select your preferred group from the options available there. I will remember each one of you from the event for the rest of my life, as that was a day I will always cherish. To those who helped buy IGA the gift and for those that I met in person that day, thank you so much for being part of this! This pic from Goobsausage is great. I can't tell you how well received the book was. IGA poured into it as soon as PurifyWeirdSoul passed it to him. He wouldn't put it down and even carried it with him to his birthday dinner that night. He absolutely loved it.

I like how the green shirt guy in the background looks like he's going "Huh? What's going on? Is someone summoning monsters in some sort of magic book?"
This was one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to experience and I'm glad others got to experience it. My heart grew three sizes that day. Big, big thank you to everyone involved with the gift, arranging the happy hour and panel, and everyone who showed up.
The real treasure was the friends we made along the way, and it was great meeting you all!

This is the note that was included with the gift. It rests just behind the front cover and fits nicely. I have censored the names as requested just for showing it here.

that was one of the most awesome things ever, getting to talk to him and see him reminisce about all the cool stories, and soon well be able to tell him about all the cool bloodstained moments we had and add those to the long list of games we love

Thank you everyone for contributing to this amazing gift! This was a very special day for both IGA and me! When he opened the book, the first thing he noticed was the note attached to it - "Oh! This must be a list of people who contributed!" He said to let everyone know that he is forever grateful and that he will make good use of it. I had a blast meeting everyone as well (I'm sorry I'm awkward in-person lol) and I hope to meet you all again in the near future. When purifyweirdshard brought the art book I made a while back, I was really happy! I feel inspired to make a new book again. A big thanks to Angel-Corlux for having this meetup fit in our full day schedule.

A big thanks to Angel-Corlux for having this meetup fit in our full day schedule. Whew man. This all couldn't have gone better, it all came together and worked out perfectly. That's no accident - yourself, the man of Fifty Storms, the angel, the xombie, some myself, so many other people in our community - combining hard work and the love to make a great day. I could type about how great all of this is until next week so let me say more specific things lol Awkward?? I mean, it was definitely some on my side. It's not really a common social situation for anybody, you know? I thought at most I would get to shake his hand and ask a question, but IGA sat directly across from me and for a solid 5 minutes I was like "WHAT IS IMPORTANT?? What do I say/ask first? Shall I look at my phone for inspiration on this matter while simultaneously seeming like I'm awkwardly blowing things off? Am I overthinking this? Oh wait yes I definitely am" xD My first thing wasn't even something personally from me, it was about a product being made of Alucard there was a question about haha. That at least broke the ice some. It got easier and more natural from there. However I was way too deep in thought to remember to like, order something? heeeh whoops! So yeah, you were super gracious and on point with everything. There were times I said things that I didn't expect you to translate to him but you did anyway, and that was just well...yeah. THANK YOU MANA ;_; ... Okay, next thing, keeping it together. Bringing you the book was a top priority. That and IGA's gift were the main things I wanted to bring. Hearing that it inspired you to make another book...I'm running out of what to say to express myself now haha...so uhhh YES! Having you work directly on the game and do art for it was such a huge win for all of us, including so many people that don't know it yet. I was hoping that'd come to be for a good while. I'm so happy you were happy. Here's a new temporary? set up of beautiful things: photos.app.goo.gl/C9csfsrxWKrYH6Fy1Bonus cats and cheeseburgers, and cheeseburger cats (don't question it): photos.app.goo.gl/Vmo5GFRyMOfhggwU2hahaha. Thank you! I hope we see you again soon too! :'D

My first thing wasn't even a personal thing, it was about a product being made of Alucard lol. I realized this isn't really clear, let me rephrase that so it doesn't sound like I asked him "personal questions" haha. What I mean is, the first stuff wasn't specifically per se stuff I thought up to ask him myself, kind of a question from a whole group of people. It's about First 4 Figures' Alucard statue, the "Twilight Cloak" version. There was a question of if the collar should be white or red. He said white (i.e. the sprite itself)

purifyweirdshard "Having you work directly on the game and do art for it was such a huge win for all of us, including so many people that don't know it yet. I was hoping that'd come to be for a good while."QUOTE FOR FREAKIN' TRUTH. To elaborate, I think I made a topic at one point about how good some of the vania's were at putting random art or cool things in the backgrounds in the games. Now we have Mana basically doing that role which is so damn cool. It's cool to be able to see the fruit of that labor with the dragon on the boat. Visually cool items in backgrounds are what help gives a location it's identity.
