Why can't we (Army of the Night) have the e3 2017 demo on Steam like we had the e3 2016 version? I don't understand why they are denying us.

Redogan and DSLevantine I can understand how you feel, but I do think there are reasons we haven't received this demo. First, as a gameplay slice, it's pretty small, intended to be enjoyed in small sittings at conventions or festivals like this Japan Weekend thing. If it was released to the backers, I bet we'd get a lot of complaints about how lightweight it was. I'd be willing to wager that IGA is saving up for and working hard on getting an even bigger, spiffier demo with tons more content to all us backers, so we can spend a lot of time on it (and discussing it here!) rather than being a little underwhelmed by a gameplay slice we've already seen and which wasn't that long (since attendees at a convention can't spend all day on a demo when there are many people in line).

It would be nice to play the 2017 demo content just to see if I could find the hidden weapon(s) Angel was talking about, but otherwise I'm kinda over it lol. I've seen that gameplay and the Bloodless fight enough to where I think I've learned all I can about that, and the game has changed since then. Giving it to us now would open up a huge slew of feedback from everyone on things that are already different. Much rather wait on a new playable.

Normally, i always try to be a huge supporter of the game and such, but i don't know how much of a good move is that. I mean, people are overly skeptical about ANYTHING game-related coming from Kickstarter and after half an year, IGA is going to show the same demo again. I mean, "in IGA we trust", sure, but i don't think that's a very good move. They really should have a new playable content by now, to show up to the fans, specially considering the game is scheduled to be release in 2018.

They promised huge things for the next updates. The crafting system was a good thing, sure, but i don't really know... For the first time since the kickstarter ended, i'm starting to be a bit more skeptical. Not that i think the game isn't going to be out or is going to be a new Might Number 9, that's stupid. I'm sure the game is going to be out in 2018 and i'm sure it will be a great game.
But showing the same E3 2017 demo again, after half an year...I'm starting to think the dev team are behind their planned schedule. Which is not the end of the world, by any means, since that's pretty normal for the industry. But it isn't a good thing either.

Well, remember, this is a pretty small show. Angel mentioned in the discord chat that IGA wouldn't even be there, this is actually 505 game's idea, since they're a European company (our own Angel-Corlux is an Italian ). So I'm sure IGA himself is working on an even bigger demo with lots of cool new stuff, it's just that 505 wants to show the European audience what they haven't seen yet (since the demo was only shown in the US at E3 and in New York City). This was just a fun announcement for any European friends who wanted to meet up with 505 folks in Spain

I can agree with your sentiments that the same demo can be a bit boring and dry. It would be nice to see them get to see a new little nugget of info on the game (nothing major) that may not be widely known but will appear in a backer update like a new skin or item concept.  I personally think it might be cool to see some concept art show up about some ideas they are kicking around that may or may not pan out in the end to help keep our Spanish friends hooked. I think that would soften the blow of showing the same game slice.

At the same time its pretty obvious that we are all a little nervous for several reasons, whether it be the current climate of kickstarter games (and for good reason), or because we are getting closer to release time which means its crunch time for the devs and the promoters. We just want as much information as possible because were getting antsy. But I think we picked a winner with this campaign, we all just need to remain patient for a bit longer because I think were on the verge of getting some mind blowing stuff.
