Which tier did you back?

I went from 60 and upgraded to 100.

GOG is doing relatively fine, with newer releases. Problem is, lots of developers, publishers, or copyright holders, hate and fear DRM-Free. They are obsessed with a phobia that this specific feature (DRM-Free) will result into: their games being pirated more, them losing sales numbers, or they might need more time and workload to offer updates/fixes, especially in time frame. For all the baseless downright adversity GOG earns, though, it does a damn fine job, given the circumstances.

Some of those who do in fact partner with GOG, sometimes do hit both GOG as a business and customers as entities with under the belt hits, such as dumping a game there never to update/fix it, offer patches much later or sometimes never at all, refuse to release expansions, newer titles or other series (especially the more modern ones) in their log, etc. This resulted into some compromises from their part, so as GOG could stay in business and relative, as a service... Like being forced to accept regional pricing against one of its ex core tenets and stuff like that... But they differ from other services, in that they actually care for their playerbase in many ways, from offering free wallet credits to balance out the aforementioned compromise for example, to implementing a feature in their services as per popular voicing, to watching votes on highly demanded games and try to get a license for them, first.

I believe IGA + GOG = Best thing ever happened. Now with Galaxy too, that optional client of theirs, nobody will miss anything. Those who can't live without achievements, cloud saves, auto-updates and socializing and those who want to play their game old style without any of that fuss, will both get the best out of it!

I know I probably said this before somewhere, but I wonder if I should get the drm free version just for posterity.

Yep, that's right, the Kickstarter backer editions all feature a boss IGA and he drops the swordwhip weapon.

That means, no exclusive things from the old $5 and the current $28 (digital game only).

So if we combine a $60, with a $28, only one of those games will have the exclusive IGA + Swordwhip.
However, this can change (!?) and the prequel is included in tiers $28 and up!

This is why I got an additional $60, just to get the exclusive stuff for my PS VITA.

If its a password or a code which can be used on any kind of version of the game, then I see less point in getting another $60 and just go digital only for $28. Details like that can make people feel disencouraged if promises are "faded" but still true, if you know what I mean.

I too am in for $300 and got an extra Vita physical copy! Can't wait!
