This is the first forum i ever participate in my life with such dedication and passion. All i heard of from communities like this, is that they are completely plagued with stupid, offensive people that couldn't care less about others, such as 4chan, reddit or many forums out there, so, i was a bit reluctant to participate.
Especially because i have depression.

I have depression since my young teens and never got truly rid of it. For those who had it, has it or know someone that has it, they know it's something really hard to endure sometimes. I had medication, i had (and still have) therapy, among other things. My family doesn't fully know about it (and i prefer that way), but i'm not in the verge of anything dangerous, don't worry about it.

By coming here, posting, having ideas for threads, reading other's threads and interacting with everyone else, all that helped me open up a bit to myself, having some warmt from all of you was something really important for me, specially during some really difficult times i had these last years.

I am truly thankful for meeting you all and i hope we can stay in contact, stay friends or something after this great game we all already love is released.

Many thanks to this wonderful community. You all have no idea how much you already helped me to keep going through this illness.

This thread isn't to create any kind of sympathy, nor it is a cry for help or any kind of whinning or attempt to call up for attention. None of you need to answer to this thread either. I just felt the need to share a bit of myself and how you all helped and is helping me without even knowing it. I just wanted you all to know that.

I sincerely appreciate it.

Oh we're not going anywhere for a while. Even when the game comes out we get to have threads about ester egg discoveries and wacky builds and best-song-debates. Heck I can imagine there will be organized dungeon runs for some people here. Plus, its not like they'll need to make a new forum for IGA's next game. They already have us right here! I can see this place lasting a few more years at least, and people like you coming up with such interesting discussions is certainly part of why.

You're not the only one in your boat either. Bloodstained's campaign came out during an extremely low and rough point in my life. Its very personal so I don't want to go into it, but seeing my favorite game developer come back to make the games he was good at with such triumph and fanfare was a much needed good thing that happened when it did.

This community is really nice and friendly.
The environment is good and organized.

I have never seen any aggressive discussion here, no bad quality joke posts (you know, there are plenty of those on the Internet), no hostility. Just a mature community, I really like it.

It's good that you have been enjoying your time.

This community should not disband once Bloodstained is out. I have been closer with this one than any before and I do not regret it at all.
Let's say that backing the game came with a huge bonus.

It is fine to share good and less good moments alike, it is part of life, after all.
I also sincerely hope I can get/keep genuine lifetime friendship with the biggest number of people here.

Just going to let you know that you're not alone in the battle against depression. I've endured a long-lasting bout with it since 14-years old, and there've been a couple deaths in the family along the way that tore at me. I feel as lucky as you do to have found a great online community here to spend time with.

I've been a member of a few forums over the years and, I have to say, this one is the best. The tremendous rapport between the members and moderators is hugely gratifying with a broad streak of respect running through it. We all stick together like army ants! Your posts are some of the best on here and, if there ever was an annual vote for poster of the year, you'd be very high on the shortlist. Your posts are a joy to read and are like a testament to your strength of mind ... which is why you'll beat the depression!

Good to have you around Pure, you know this. We answer our own questions sometimes, and its fun to speculate. But personal life is priority one, always. I am happy about you fighting depression with hope and staying calm. Been there before, it really can take a toll on you.

I have no idea how this community will be after the game have been launched. But I hope the people that want to have me as a contact, adds me asap. If not here, then perhaps on discord or any other social media. Sometimes stuff happens, and people are gone for a while. Hey, I know where your coming from. I've also battled with depression when I was 14 and then I tried to kill myself when I was 16 by hanging with my belt and then a cord when my belt didn't work. Only reason I'm here today was because my sister came through the door when I was close to blacking out and she saved my life. Now I'm 25 and I'm doing wonderful with great friends.

I hope you get over it very soon, life is a wonderful gift and the world is full of opportunities to grow and get better!

Also someone gave me a CD of this a few years ago when I was still going through depression and it helped me out a lot. It's a long video but I think it's worth it to watch.

Hey Pure Miriam I feel the same way... I too suffer from depression and this too is the first forum I ever joined. I was also worried that this forum would be filled with negativity but the community is for the most part, very positive and not negative at all (I only found one person like that and they are no longer here). It has been a delight to post here... I am not a social person by any stretch of the imagination and love coming by read threads and posts.

So just know Pure Miriam I know what you're going though (well not completely... but I do know what the battle with depression feels like)... just know you're not alone. I wish I could say something more inspiring or substantial but all I can say is I am in the same boat as you... hey, we could be cabin mates lol...

Sun and I discussed about 'stained we agreed on what's next.
What Master Iga created is more than a game. He reunited a strong community, his Army of the Night, quirky and flowing well together. It is a family.

And I then add now, you are part of it. Isn't it great?

I'm quite a loner, wished to find a place to belong. I guess I found it. It should last way after the game's released.
