I'm providing context for each sentence, but it is just an example to better understand the line. The line itself is colored.

I am back after quite some absence. Here are my quotes: In-game: - Miriam, you have bought all of the rare equipment we collected. I guess we just are an item shop now. (Anne/Dominique. Triggered once only)

As indulgent as it may sound a reference to the Bloodless forum battle when Miriam faces her in a boss battle.
"It would take a beast to defeat me and all I see is a little girl!"
"The Armies Of The Night couldn't do it, how can you?"
Also the familiars having little hints to a larger personality from their lines would be cute. After enough Candelabra are shattered before the Spectral Knight familiar he should intone:
"I hope M'Lady is going to clean that up"
Referring to the fan comic where Miriam has to clean up a wineglass she dramatically throws Iga style.
The Beast Helm needs a very METAL and uncharacteristic voice that also swings to cute occasionally on certain flags.
Finding a candy consumable "Om nom nom nom"
I'd imagine the best times for these voices to trigger would be in the interstitial hallways, landmark backgrounds or specific enemy free rooms. Less combat noise to obscure the little quips.

FWIW, Castlevania quotes that don't refer to any specific names/places/objects/etc. are almost certainly 100% fine to use. I know its already been mentioned but I'm a huge fan of Shanoa's "I am the morning sun, come to vanquish this horrible night!" and there are lots of possible contexts such a line could be used by Miriam. For a line that I don't think has been suggested, "What am I fighting for!" (that MMX4 meme) for when a playable character dies or when the co-op partner dies seems like it could get some good usage. "It's always darkest before the dawn" is a classic cliche but I still think its effective when used correctly (perhaps during a bleak story beat in which Miriam wants to express confidence and hope for the future). I'll try to think of more but again, its hard when we are missing a lot of plot/character/VA details  |

"What is this rich, rich, creamy delight that no-doubt has 2,500 calories?" ~ Reference to Ben Judd learning about the " Wall-Mac" idea in this video. "Form becomes Emptiness, and Emptiness becomes Form." ~ A rough English translation of the full Buddhist mantra containing "Ku Soku Ze Shiki", the phrase used by Zangetsu during his intangible dodge-maneuver. Personally, I'd love to hear every voice-actor for Bloodstained characters say this line, not just Zangetsu's.

nah, id rather it stay zangetsus, however it would be extra cool if all of zangetsus vas use the japanese names of attacks rather than trying to awkwardly translate them to fit the clip size, has the extra benefit of his attacks would stand out more because theyre in another language than what youd normally expect (like various yells instead of translating an attack called "Men" to "Head" which would make little sense to someone who doesnt know about things like kendo)

Astaroth It doesn't necessarily need to be in the main game. All of the voice-actors saying that one line could just be hidden in the Sound Test, similar to what allooutrick suggested.

I know this would cost too much money lol.... but what if they read all the backer's names somehow... maybe in the sound test they have a file where all the voice actors read a "thank you" to the backers and say each backer's name.
again that would take a crap load of time and money... alos I don't know how feasible that actually is.

Some more lines that came to mind:
- "It's showtime!" - a reference to Portrait of Ruin but its also common line you hear in a lot of other shows/games/etc. Could be used when a file is selected to start playing, when a character "wakes" up from a save room after dying (or again starting the game up after any absence) or at the start of a boss battle.
- "Let's get dangerous!" - a reference to Darkwing Duck (Disney cartoon from the 90s - see intro here). Could be used when a file is selected to start playing, when a character "wakes" up from a save room after dying (or again starting the game up after any absence) or at the start of a boss battle.
- "Playtime is Over!" or "Playtime is Over! Grant me Power!" - either a general common utterance found in many shows/games/etc. or a SOTN reference. To be used when any humanoid boss character reveals a second+ form.

I got tons of obscure anime references. Perhaps Miriam and Anne can say that they'd love to have letters from their respective parents sent to them. This is a reference to the creepy anime Shigofumi: Stories of Last Letter. If a character sings, Anne could say something like, "it reminds me of mommy, who's shoe had no toe." This is a reference to the ghostly, yet pretty voice of Mamiko Noto. If Anne sees a lottery ticket, Miriam could comment that it doesn't grant wishes. This is a nod to an episode of Saber Marionette J, where the child-like Lime is very naive about many basic things and is told a ticket is a magical piece of paper. If Miriam has a dog familiar, she could say, "I guess you have many 'forms' of attack." This refers to Friender/Lucky and Casshan/Tetsuya from the original Casshan. If there's an evil painting, Miriam could comment that it's eyes give off a possessive/abusive feeling. This refers to (anime spoiler) the titular sentient painting in Le Portrait de Petite Cossette. |

This is one that some anime fans will appreciate.
Anne could say to Miriam, "you're defying gender roles, like a child of wisdom," depending on Miriam's clothes.
"Tomoko" can translate to "Child of Wisdom," depending on the Kanji used in Japanese. This is a tribute to the late Tomoko Kawakami. She was the seiyuu of Utena herself, Yoko from tactics, Misuzu from Air, Meru from a certain PS1 RPG about dragons..., Fuyuki in Sgt. Frog (until her illness got in the way), Athena Glory in Aria the Animation and many more.
If someone is working on a machine, a monster could say, "Billy who? Watt ya talkin' about?"
This refers to Billie Lou Watt. The original English voice of Astro Boy and Eustace's mother in Courage the
Cowardly Dog.

If a townsperson has a pet that's always spying, they could say in a familiar accent, "that's just Peter, he's harmless."
Peter Lorre was an actor most of us would know for early thriller-horror movies. He had a very distinct way of talking and played many mentally unbalanced villains, such as a surgeon stalking his own patient and a killer attacking little girls.
He's the inspiration for later takes on Dr. N. Gin, Ren (yes, as in the one who abuses Stimpy constantly) and possibly the creeper scientist Looney Tune.
He literally played "the raven", once.
