Who, why, and why phrase it that way?

Just registered myself. It has been a very, very busy month. A key member left our company and I've been doing the work of 2 people. Honestly, I forgot about that! It was my first big Kickstarter and the closing stream was surreal. I remember planning to pledge after it was all over but life (and this job) moves so quickly that I just ended up getting pulled into the next project and not fulfilling what I said I was going to do. There was certainly no ill-will as I was very proud of being a part of that campaign and am a big Megaman fan but I can see how it would rub some people the wrong way. I can say this... I have helped Comcept in a great many ways so I feel I've shown my support through my time, advice, etc. Inafune-san was actually my old boss and when I first became an agent, I told him I'd assist for free in any way that I could including spending hours on translations, pitches etc before they became a client.

That still doesn't change the fact that I said I would do something and didn't so I guess I'll have to try harder and I certainly supported Bloodstained well above my means. And of course I'll be buying the game when it is out.

There are indeed things I can say about my clients and things I cannot say. That is by law, not by choice. I gave IGA and this campaign everything I had. Was averaging 3 - 4 hours of sleep and went above and beyond what an agent normally does. You see, I was a latchkey kid. Parents divorced at 6, lived in an area with very few kids my age, moved schools, and in general was very lonely growing up. I'm sure there are other posters here with similar backgrounds here. It got very bad and at once point the loneliness was almost unbearable. It was then that the NES came out and life changed. Games get a bad rap for violence, ruining grades, being nerdy etc. But it's my firm belief that they may just have saved my life and I always repay my debts. Those Japanese creators that made some of the best early games I played really helped me enjoy my youth more and that's the sole reason I work hard as an agent in Japan. Someone needs to help these super talented, super cool creators get new opportunities. Especially since now they are not being supported by Japanese publishers. For me it's not about money it's about paying it back. I did it with Inafune-san, I'm doing it with IGA, and you'll see a couple more from me in the future.

One more thing to add and that is, I find the idea of a Kickstarter community to be really great. We all shared some great experiences playing IGA games in the past and now we can share those memories, ideas, and feelings with like-minded people. That was one of the draws for me when posting in the comments section on the Kickstarter. Because I'm just like you and am just really excited for this game!

cool dude. I don't like the business side of video gaming either but it is necessary... video games are not made from only positive thoughts and good ideas (trust me I tried that... didn't work). A solid business plan is needed...

true the corporations are ruining video gaming these days e.g. call of duty, battlefield and the mobile game migrations many big companies are doing... that is what we should rise up against.

so in short yes I am with you when fighting the big gaming corporations. they are ignoring our wants and needs as gamers and just want the big money. Let us trample them, under foot as we march over their battlefields, trample their call of duty and make them mobile no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn you are sour. Man seriously, ever heard of paying with blood sweat and tears?

Who cares if he didn't donate, if he wasn't around, this campaign wouldn't have done as well as it did, hell, Ben is the person that went from publisher to publisher to find someone to try and take this game.
Not only has he personally attended the kickstarter comment section in order to make people feel welcomed and like their opinions matter, he's worked his ass off helping igarashi and co to get this game going.

I think you need to grow up, and find real things to complain about.

It was a very egregious error of an assumption to make that Ben didn't financially contribute, at the very least.

Anything else is an opinion, that was something that needed to be factually rectified.
