I've seen a thread for Touhou floating around on the forums here. However, I think Koumajou Densetsu deserve its own thread, since the gameplay and story is different from the original Touhou series. Anyway! Have anyone played or seen Koumajou Densetsu? I played the first one, Scarlet Symphony and loved it so much! The mashup between bullet hell and MetroidVania gameplay just worked out so well! The soundtrack is brilliantly composed to resemble Rondo of Blood's. I am also obsessed with the art in that game!

The Touhouvania/Koumajou Densetsu games are amazing, and the music is really great, imo, especially since they do a nice job of paying homage to existing tracks from various CV titles.
If I recall, the Moriya Shrine might let you get your hands on them, as well as other Touhou games.

I like the second game more than the first. To me, it feels more satisfying playing as Sakuya (especially the time-stopping ability).

^Part of that is because the second game fleshes out the gameplay mechanics more. Sakuya has a lot going on between assists and subweapons, as well as movement, and it just feels more fun to play.  |

I'm weird. I like Castlevania, and I like Tee-haw. But I didn't like the first game... didn't try the second cuz I didn't like the first. I enjoyed remidoki more which is also something of a tao-hao-vania. I don't think the quality of that game is as good as the ones referenced in this thread though, I just enjoyed it more is all.
That said I use some of the art for this game in my custom art when I play Labyrinth of Touhou, which is my fave toohoo game.
