There was a kickstarter update on Bloodstained today. It promised that another update was on its way, but in this one it offered an intriguing treat:
People are already speculating that this is a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends. This bit of news is also on the Mighty No. 9 kickstarter as well.

Though I don't think it's going on KS. I think they're just going to develop it naturally.

That's a pity ... but at least it's coming. Hype. I actually want these companies who are getting help through KS to be able to manage their stuff without the support of KS. KS is kinda like training wheels I guess. I hope they can prove their market audience exists and grow the power needed to keep up with the market. I don't really have a basis for thinking Red Ash won't be a kickstarted game, I just think they probably are under the same mentality for this as I am. |

This summer is getting filled with the best annoyance I've ever encountered. That's 4 projects within a couple months of each other that I've wanted and never thought I'd actually see. A full HD Castlevania successor, a Mega Man Legends successor, freaking Shenmue, and a full official Muv-Luv trilogy localization with hints of a possible translation of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien or even a future Muv-Luv trilogy anime. Seriously, I don't know what god of geekdom allowed for this alignment of the stars, but I simultaneously want to sign up for his dogma and kick his ass for the ridiculous timing of it all.
