So a new interview with IGA @ famitsu.com was just posted (you may have to C & P the url to get it to work). It's in Japanese of course but GoNintendo posted a summary of the article over here. I will say that if someone here - like Mana - who can read Japanese can confirm the major points we'd all appreciate it (or elaborate upon some of the points as well). I'm not confident the current summary isn't missing or has misinterpreted a detail or two. Anyway, not a ton of brand new information but here are the noteworthy highlights:
Now what does "20-30% complete" actually mean for the game and its release date? The below is a partial conversation that followed in the shoutbox last night. I went to bed at the end so I don't know what follows but at least I left the window open so I could preserve what was in the box at the time
- Game is roughly 20-30% complete
- Iga wants to speed up the pace of development
- Switch port was chosen over Wii U in part because Switch has native Unreal support and is easier to port from a PC
- The delay to 2018 also also encouraged the move from Wii U to Switch
- There are future plans to show off Bloodstained at major events including, possibly, E3
