I would be interested in watching a speedrun I would be interested in speedrunning now. Problem is I haven't mapped out the game nor have I complete it. Also I haven't seen a regular speedrun of the game so I don't know how it goes. That's why I'm asking if people would be willing to watch my play through it now and then I can get going on the speedrun. Otherwise I'd just play by myself. Yes, I'd watch your first playthrough

oh god, so much to say..
first off currently I'm enjoying my @#%@%# off playing chroma squad... and i never even liked power ranger type shows... this game is so great though, I actually think it's better than xcom at being... like xcom, kinda. I mean it's not a reskin of xcom with more stuff or anything, it IS different in some ways, but in all the right ways IMO.
I WOULD be playing fairy fencer F but my credit card expired, and awhile back and they mailed me the new one with some terms that I was like wdf this isn't what my card is supposed to do! so I delayed activating it until my card expired so I could have a chance to contact people and make sure that the terms were misunderstood or written improperly or didn't apply to me or something.. turns out it was partially didn't apply to me, partially written incorrectly. So I was like ok cool thanks I'll activate it now.. so then I try to activate it, and then I can't because they told me I cancelled my card for a new one and I was like wdf no I didn't... stupid lady I asked questions to that I TOLD I already had my new card and I simply chose not to activate it YET because I had questions somehow got the impression that I DIDNT get it yet and she had to send a new one so she basically made the card I actually HAD unable to activate... so I can't buy fairy fencer F now until the @%#@%ing card comes in my mail... I tried sending money from my bank account into paypal and buy it with paypal bucks.. and they say it takes 3-5 days to do, so I'm like cool I got 6 days (well now I have like 3), and then after hitting ok it changed to 19 days.. 19!?! WDF... *runs away crying*.
The thing is I HAVE cash for it I just can't use the damn stuff, yarg.
Now sins of a solar empire, Gunlord, your description is not false, but...it doesn't really capture what makes Sins Sins.
Sins of a solar empire is one of very few RTS games I like, I generally prefer Turn-based strategy games. Because I feel turn based strategy games reward strategy, and RTS games, while strategy IS in fact the determining factor for victory amongst equally capable players...keyboard/macro/mouse/hotkey/micro speed is the winner otherwise. RTS games place SO EFFING MUCH emphasis on making the player who can click and select and target and hotkey spells and hotkey town structures and all that jazz the fastest, that actual strategy and tactics fall so far behind IMO....
SINS is a SLOW RTS... you shouldn't expect to finish a match in 10-30 mins... sometimes they can take even 3 hours, I'd say it's even slower than Supreme commander (another RTS I like because it's 'slow' and strategic)... now by slow, I don't mean slow just because it gives you time to think per say, please don't think slow as a negative, so much as a matter of taste.
For example, if you play RTS games alot, you'll probably agree that unless you're a micro hotkey god, that like the 0-99% players generally attack or defend with 100% of their army.. there's no splitting their army up, attacking multiple fronts (and if they ARE attacking multiple fronts, the reason isn't for tactical reasons so much as simply to stress the enemy player out and cause difficulty COMMANDING multiple fronts at the same time in that fast-paced real time hard to micro that fast nature), etc.
Sins of a solar empire has stars that you have to warp to via connections (starlanes I think they are called? I forget), and after you do so, you ahve to use impulse-engine speed to go from one end of that star-system to the other, which takes like a minute, then warp again to reach the next connecting star, then again for the next, and again for the next.
Basically if you have your entire army attacking somewhere halfway across the map and you're under attack, you simply will not be able to rush back to your base and defend it until like 5-10 minutes later. You MUST split your forces, *OR*, you must establish chokepoints via the starlanes to defend.
The game also has a much deeper sense of economics and research than your typical RTS game, kind of like Rise of nations (I love that game too), research isn't simply clicking the 3-4 research thingies on every odd structure.. you actually have a research menu where you can select from a tree from several. There are no resources that you collect either like most RTS games.. you make colonies on planets and they have populations and you tax them, and each colony has their own set of buildings to build...
It's basically a 4x turn-based strategy game made real time for all intents and purposes IMO.

Just finished the Last of us remastered Such a sad story 〒_〒 The Last of Us is such a great story experience. I got it when it first came out and beat on normal first. After that I upped it to survivor difficulty. After I beat it again I went for a third time and collected all the collectables. For some reason getting all the collectables was my shortest time spent just being a little over 10 hours.

I finally got the game of the year edition of Shadows of Mordor. I got the original game for free, so the upgrade was 10 bucks. I went back to it and realized that despite the button prompts, I forgot how to play. I also only got about 4% into the game. I can easily start over, so either now or tomorrow I'm going to do that.

I got around to actually finishing Final Fantasy Type 0 HD on PS4. While I still enjoyed the game, the pacing of the plot is bit rough. Also to all you completionist's probably one of the easiest platinum trophy ever. (got like 90% on first play through and got the rest in new game+ mode).
Also just bought myself Mad Catz TE2 arcade stick for PS3 and PS4 so will be excited to play more fighting games (USF4/GG Xrd/yatagarasu) once it arrives.

Now, I think I'll start replaying Mega Man ZX Advent. On Normal first, then on Expert difficulty.
Still trying to decide whether I want to do a Grey or Ashe playthrough. (Ashe has the better Charge-Shot, in my opinion. Grey has the better Lock-On ability.)

Any of you played through MGS: VR Missions? If you got far enough, you could play as Gray Fox.

It was just a random rental at my videos store. Motoko: Good stuff! Always wondered why they did not include Portable Ops in the collection, i mean it's cannon to my knowledge. :/

It was just a random rental at my videos store. Motoko: Good stuff! Always wondered why they did not include Portable Ops in the collection, i mean it's cannon to my knowledge. :/ IIRC, Portable Ops wasn't included because the control scheme wasn't that great, the game wasn't that fun, and it was supposedly made non-canon The situation with Portable Ops is weird. When it first came out it was supposed to be canon and supposed to be THE game that showed Naked Snake accepting the title of Big Boss, had young Campbell and Grey Fox, and was supposed to be an attempt at letting someone other than Kojima direct a Metal Geat game. Then when Peace Walker comes out, I suddenly see fans talk about how Portable Ops isn't canon because Kojima didn't work on it, but no one gave any sources confirming it. I know the game wasn't that great, but if the idea behind it was to let someone other than Kojima handle a Metal Gear game, what was the point? The whole thing about Portable Ops becoming non-canon feels like one big round of "telephone game" to me. As for what I'm playing right now, I am playing Freedom Planet and Pier Solar and the Great Architects. I didn't grow up with Sega consoles, but I do like these throwback games.

Since non of have ever played through the series, we are progressing very slowly but really enjoying it. I will probably be starting MGS3 when MGSV comes out.
