Very in-depth. Thanks for the interview and all the information. Too bad I missed out on the slacker-backing also. Will buy when it's out. I enjoyed the videos and are pleased with the details. It is nice when people are so passionate about their projects. Thats awesome.
And thanks for the questions brought into the interview. Had goosbumps briefly haha.
I hope the game gets huge expo, AND a sequal will be made.

Well, at least there people that agrees that Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con looks bad too many people are optimistic about that Joy-Con, might as well just use the Wii remote controller, since they practically the same, without the analog stick of course

"What does Chasm offer that Bloodstained doesn't?"
"I dunno."
Well, I'm sold!
But in all seriousness, this was a great episode and I'm glad I listened to it. Thanks for putting in the work to make it happen, Mike!

42:10 I pledged for the "Architect's Secret Map" tier, so I guess the general 'mystery' will be robbed from my experience anyway.

Watched this a few days ago, and my thoughts are...
Why are you so smart, Mike? Do you do this for a living? Who are you, really?! XD
But yeah, excellent job. You kept pace with these guys really well, like you're a dev or in the industry yourself, I felt like.
You also recorded and edited this to put up really fast.

I am getting a bit faster aren't I? Editing out the things that make me sound less smart probably helps how I come across. If I could do this professionally I probably would. This episode was pretty much a commercial for Chasm, but I didn't get paid or anything.
So, with episodes like this and the Axiom Verge one where I'm talking to indi developers in the genre, am I staying too far from Bloodstained or does this provide the community with interesting insight in the indi game industry that is relevant to our game?

am I staying too far from Bloodstained or does this provide the community with interesting insight in the indi game industry that is relevant to our game? In my world, it is the genre I am interested in. While being two different games, they are same in many categories. Making a comparison was a kind of a cool feat to include in this episode. I think it was fine. I will buy Chasm anyway even if I haven't heard this podcast. Its fun to take a peek inside a developers mind, those that have the passion are the ones we want talk and hear more about. I guess an interview post-launch of Bloodstained with Iga and Mana would be a peek of performance by you, and one of many goals I for one would love to witness. And up until that moment, do what you are doing. Its working. If the podcast would evolve - talking to other games is up to you. Just keep it natural, like you have done it so far.

I'll definitely buy Chasm. Dan and James seems like really cool people and I'd be happy to support their product. I wish I would've known about the kickstarter when it initially got pitched, but I was unaware of it. Great podcast as usual Mike Although the majority of the podcast was about Chasm, you did ask them some pretty relevant questions about Bloodstained and IGA. Other people in the industry and especially other developer feedback is really valuable and important I feel. Keep doing what you're doing Mike. I'd listen if you put out an episode once a week regardless what the topic is.

Once again, thank you Mike for submitting my questions! I felt they could be important since some aspects of games have been bugging me since the beginning years of my gamer's career.
A commercial for Chasm? Well, technically the podcast was promoting it for sure. I must say it was deserved as it seems to be a great game to work on and invest in (I'm sold on it, btw). It also shows the modesty and inspirational sources of the indie developers, something refreshing when one has to face the greed and stupid corporate decisions of major game companies (the latter which I feel most have completely lost their soul, about all of them).*
What's more, I could say there is a feeling of brotherhood between developers and the communities, since the game genre is common. Rivalry? Pocket-wise maybe, but I would ideally say get them all or at least choose the game(s) with the setting that talks to you the most.
Keep up the great work, Mike!
*I regret my golden age of videogames (end of the 80's and the 90's). I really do.

Another fantastic episode XombieMike . I didn't really know much about Chasm before going into this but its certainly something I will keep my eye on moving forward. The rest of the conversation was illuminating as well just hearing these guys offer their opinions and expertise on other related topics. If you're worried episodes like these might be a bit too off-topic, don't (I think you said something to that affect or did I imagine that?). I think you did well enough to tie this to Bloodstained and I think everybody looking forward to Bloodstained would care about a game like this and want to hear what its developers have to say about general game development, etc. Thanks for doing these as always

Personally Chasm does not interest me but perhaps it will interest others in the community so on that basis i have no objection to the discussion of it (or other games) but i do feel the majority of the podcast's content should be Bloodstained-based. I understand that info on BS isnt always available so a certain amount of "filler" content is to be expected i guess.

its better to talk about other igavania styled games than to discuss the same topic to death. there is plenty of speculation here on the forums, if that's your thing.

Oh, this is very nice indeed. I can't listen to the whole thing atm sadly, but you can bet your sweet bippy I'll listen to it in the car later on.
From what I've heard so far, this seems to be very in-depth. I like it!
