The end where they shift the pages support to bloodstained. Although since you asked, I thought twice, so I won't.

I, for one, never understood the draw to mobile games... that is until I noticed that my wife on her down time likes to play those "3 in a row SAGA" type games. I tried one out, heck I even tried a hidden object game and some RPG like game. Not at all do they have the feelings and emotions and just the mere jovial reactions I get with a console (yes PC included). The mere escapism I the reason I play a Dragon Age or an Eat Lead. I WANT to be that character... and yes a 40" or 60" TV helps with that but the music and controls and the visuals... it all makes the experience cohesive. A cell phone just doesn't do this. Yes, I can burn an hour with mind numbing "ooh I just got a 5 in a row combo red!" but as a gamer... and more importantly, as someone who in their 30's spends alot of money on games... I EXPECT MORE. I want my moneys worth. If Konami or any other company wishes to not cater to me, well just like my fast food options, I will gladly super size somewhere else. Since our voices seem to not be heard, lets have our wallets speak for us! Actually you have that backwards. Mobile games are fast food. $5 here, $2 there for not a lot of quantity that is only enjoyable for a few seconds and leaves you unsatisfied and feeling kind of empty. Where as Bloodstained and Dragon Age are like droping $20/$30/$40 a plate at a 5 star restaurant where you get to sit down, enjoy the environment, experience your meal, take your time, and leave feeling full, satisfied, and happy.

It's funny you made that analogy, because Egorapter made a similar comment comparing the original platformer Castlevania to the Igavania Castlevania games. Original Castlevania was the high-class dessert, while Igavania was the bag of chips.

Blasphemy! Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, even if it's wrong haha. Really though, I'm a pre-IGA fan but the IGA games are my favorites. There are some aspects I like of the pre-IGA games more.

You know whats funny... I love fast food! Don't get me wrong, wife is an amazing cook (has opened my eyes to so may different food types) but what i meant was that we have our options... we don't need to be tied down to just one chain... other chains have different menu items and I am more than willing to go there to get my serving. That is what I think the "super size" giant AAA companies think of us... that no matter the slop they serve or the price we pay, we will just buy buy BUY!!! Great thing about the KS companies and the indie folks... It may not be a GTA 5 or Metal Gear 5 but man do we enjoy what they give us. As a unified group, we must show them that, YES our dollar counts... without it you will no longer be the mighty. Hope i didn't get too preachy!

He doesnt really talk about the new games. He just says that part 2 sucks because of leveling and timesinks and blah blah. Then makes a quick comment at the end swying new ones have leveling so they arent as good either like their very different player growth mechanics are problematic for the same reasons after over a decade of evolution.
First off... You dont have to grind to beat any bosses in the new castlevanias... The fact he mentioned that speaks volumes. That is like complaining contra is too easy because the konami code gives you too many lives. Solution is dont do it. Is that so hard to figure out? Guh.
Dont get me wrong, the new games ARE way easier even if you ront grind, But difficulty is a matter of taste that can be catered to everyone with gooe options. And grinding most certainly isnt needed... And isnt a problem in of itself because it isnt needed.
Backtracking does exist but even that isnt as big an issue when the wo4lds are far more colorful and designed with a larger variety of music anr obstacles.
Its like he is saying a car doesnt work well because it has 14 wheels and uses that to point out 14 wheels wont work for a semitrailer too.
Case in point, by grinding needlessly when he hates grinding and easy, he is quite objectively, NOT Subjectively playing it wrong. It isnt a bag of chips. Its a bod of crackers, with caviar. And he isnt taking the time to enjoy it with the caviar.

While it is a little disheartening to see Operation Akumajo shifting gears, but I am sure cecil has his reasons, and I support it. With Konami in such a chaotic state, it is really difficult to say what will happen to Castlevania as an IP. Right now, we have a game that is completely envisioned by IGA himself and is being developed by a trusted group of people, so I would understand that it is a better option to highlight and support this alternative.

I'd call that good news! Something ends, something begins. Let's remember the dead fondly (Castlevania), but let's focus on the present and rejoice in the promises future holds! (Bloodstained) I agree with you on this. I will miss the Castlevania franchise but id rather see a fresh new idea then to watch one of my favorite series get milked to death. Just look what happened to Sonic.

I was a kickstarter backer for Freedom Planet. But yes, if I had enough money to put myself into a Credits clan in Bloodstained, I'd be in the Zaibatsu Clan. You can count me as an "unranked supporter", I guess.

We at Operation: Akumajo are happy to offer our support to the Igarashi legacy. While Castlevania was indeed Igarashi's best known work, he has always operated within the constraints of a previously designed universe. Bloodstained will be his personal vision and interpretation of the Gothic era adventure that we have all come to know and love; and as such, it deserves our full support. While we do still wish for a return to traditional 2D platforming for the Castlevania franchise (and for the battle of 1999), we also understand that Bloodstained is going to be a major undertaking, and has unlimited potential for new growth. We wish to see this new universe get the same level of love as Castlevania, and have the same press coverage. Therefore, we will do our best to continue forward with our mission statement, and the goal of creating an IGAvania for all!

If Bloodstained is a huge seller it will only help prove a viable interest in Castlevania returning to what we want (making the 1999 game.)
As dumb as that pachinco machine is, at least it has the characters we actually care about with Belmont vs Dracula.
Bloodstained's success can only help further the 1999 goal. Perhaps Konami will lease out the rights for it, or sell the IP. Or... long shot here... get their crap back together (not gonna happen.)
