Honestly, I'd like for there to be more areas OUTSIDE the castle similar to Super Castlevania IV. The leadup to the castle was a great start, though I know Iga has already said the whole thing will be in the castle. I guess they could throw in a Turbo Tunnel stage for kicks. The feels with that gif.....a gamer knows not real pain, until they've played Battletoads and Ghosts N' Goblins( Ghouls and Ghosts, depending what region the game's from)

Up to this post, this thread has been added for design review. If more unique ideas are presented after this post, please submit another design review request. How? only asking for it like I'm doing right now is enough? I want to show some ideas that I shared in another thread and while some aren't to be taken so seriously, some are meant to be: Maybe a factory trapped inside the castle walls? Imagine how cool it would be if you start to traverse in a foggy area, only to discover that it is hiding a entire factory! I had this idea about a hidden factory because of the industrial revolution era. I also thought about suggesting instead of hanging garden, a literal floating garden where the fog from the factory would be holding the floor. But it wouldn't be very castlevania-ish right? Even if Belmon's Revenge had a Sky Castle... But WAIT! Thats it, instead of a inverted castle, this fog/smoke could be holding a entire castle floating! Factoryvania lol But a must is a alchemy laboratory, where Gebel would try to study about the crystals They should have a graveyard with a duck in it, that drops material to forge a weapon named Death Star They should add atleast 1 toilet and 1 kitchen in this castle. Some underground areas would be cool too, like a crystal cave or aqueduct.

To answer your your question though, read the sticky thread in the design review requests board.

Thanks, My mistake was search for a "!" thread on the top with the corresponding name, instead of noticing that sticky threads have a flower on it.

The layout of the castle on Symphony of the night was perfect. I like how when you advanced in the game by getting things like the mist you can detour to other parts of the castle easier. I really like the graphics even the wall art like paintings or candles and the mist going up the tower was really cool too . The only thing I didn't like about symphony of the night is it wasn't long enough. the inverted Castle was a plus because it kept the game going but how about more than one castle maybe 3 or 4 a man can dream.

I really would love a location like the Ghostly Theater in Lament Of Innocence. For one it had beautiful designs and colors - The reds, the blues, the greens....the big staircases, the beautiful statues, the wood, the red drapes.... Just such wonderful designs. I'm surprised it's a location that doesn't repeat much. It's perfect for a castle setting. I'd also like a music for the area to resemble the music from that location - So haunting.

posting here in case its submitworthy from bloodstainedfanforums.com/thread/612/2d-3d-2-5di think taking little details on your placement in the castle in reference to other areas of the castle a step further than they have been in past games (like the clock tower being far away in one part of sotn, going through the clock tower later on, and the long staircase having the clock tower be very close in the background was epic) by having more areas referenced in the fore and background, walking through one area where you line up with a break in the castle walls and briefly see part of the ship before it disappears behind the ramparts, the vague outline of the pagoda and fountain off in the distance as you traverse a gallery, little touches that make the scope of this castle seem both massive in a 2d sense and well connected in a 3d space (assuming those bits of concept art make it in) and the posts right after that make good points on this style of layout having the ability to make subtle hints about other areas if they want to post them here

A lot of great ideas here. I like the idea of the castle being a compound, like the concept art. Personally, at the top of my wishlist is an Atlantis-type stage. Something with a lot of ancient architecture and gorgeous flowing water, like in the SNES' Dracula X. For a starting point, I'd like them to take a look at the Atlantis-type stages from Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and the aforementioned SNES version of Dracula X.

I very much agree with this man, however I would not want too much of an outside section, perhaps a beginning small stage where we make our way through the forest to the castle gates just to have beginners get the hang of the new controls and such and see a little bit of wildlife and fear along the way Additionally I would like to propose the idea that just before the main castle past the drawbridge or whatever castle guarded entrance,is a somewhat ghost town within the castle walls right before the actual castle entrance and hallways The idea of this ghost town is Miriam can use various areas within the ghost town to meet her needs, one idea in paticular would be miriam can over the course of her adventures in the castle find and rescue people within the castle and have them come back to the town each offering different services, one could sell her smithing items, one could open up a church to restore your health and save your game, one could grow a garden giving you various free healing items once in awhile, one could be a quest cabin which the master there would offer you various quests within the castle to complete It would also be a nice place to set up your own residence and edit a room for your own comfort Over the course of the game the ghost town would start to feel more like an actual town and who knows...maybe miriam will become ruler of the castle after beating the game and the residence would accept her as their new queen

Well, that sounds like the Order of Ecclesia hub. I'd be down with that.
And regarding an "Atlantis" type stage design, surprised you didn't bring up the Bloodlines area.

What I'm looking forward to is a house that's meant to be lived in. I loved how in SOTN, Olrox greets you while seated at a long banquet table, and if you take the opportunity, it's possible to sit opposite him at the table before the battle begins. Of course, the table doesn't last long after that, but it's details like this that I really want. Places in the castle that feel like they belong because they make it like home.
"Miriam's Room" is a part of this, but that's just a start. Will there be a banquet hall in this castle, too? Then it follows that it might have a kitchen, a pantry, a garbage chute, a bathroom, all parts of a manor that serve a particular purpose. If the castle is really meant for Miriam, then I'd expect it to have accommodations to attend to her every need, regardless of how mundane. That's not to say these places need to be boring, of course. It's not IGAvania if there's not some hint of danger or a devilish twist to things.

lol, a secret scene if you sit at the table long enough, a doppelgebel shows up and sits to eat with you, complete with skeletal butler and light diner conversation, and you have the option to listen to the whole conversation or rush him and initiate a little miniboss battle, either one gives you a neat little item that ties into your choice

I like the idea of the item rewarded to you depending on your choice to wait or immediately fight. On the notion of Castle design & layout, though, I do wonder where in the Castle this could take place? Perhaps in a "Banquet Hall", as Quintalian earlier suggested.

I had this weird Idea for a monster lab area Basically it would be a frakenstein looking lab area with some alchemy elements, and there would be these glass containers in the background that hold various monsters the player has come across in the game spawning them randomly, sometimes spawning unique and rare enemies, and you could break the glass containers and fight them
I was additionally thinking that if the player comes across enough enemies,in this room they could perform an alchemy fusion of 2 specific monsters allowing them to fight unique monsters or possible bosses,it would be a room great for EXP and Item Farming and let us see some of the mad science of alchemy
One more room I could think of would be a sacraficial chamber where as the player through the course of the game kills more and more enemies, bodies pile up leading upwards to a room with a powerful ability locked inside it,and once they aquire the ability afterwards it would be great if all the bodies just start merging together to form an uber boss, maybe one similar to legion (although this time I would like a new enemy)
I'm also thinking maybe since we talked about further inside the castle the possibility of the courtyard like outside area,i'm thinking maybe a outside garden with the plants being glass stained monuments especially a rose garden to fit theme, you could whip or slash the glass roses for some possible item drops
