Well if you have been playing the same sort of games for awhile then you possibly need to play something a lot different. It's just what I would do in your shoes. True enough. I've been doing a Resident Evil marathon, wanting to cover 0-6, Revelations 1 and 2, and the Chronicles games before the end of the year. And on top of that, at the moment I lack the funds and equipment needed to record Vita footage...which depresses me. Yea sounds to me, you need a break from Resident Evil and games similar to it

Well I'm also aspiring to create a comic book. I can write decently, but it's hard to find a decent collaborative artist without money. I don't care if I make a name for myself, it would just be awesome to say I did it.

When that happens I just try to either take a break or play something different. I've been playing nothing but RPGs since last year and I felt fatigue. I still have to beat Xenoblade and The Witcher but I haven't, although ever since Splatoon got released I suddenly feel like playing games a lot now since it's a lot different from what I've been playing. I see. Well, as for me, I'm in a slump because I just can't seem to play games for fun and not for the sake of recording footage of them for YouTube. And even then, I'm so much in a slump that I can't even record footage for my channel right now. So don't. Read a book. Paint a picture. Write a poem. Pet a cat. If the videos are your actual job, take a short break to do something else so your work doesn't suffer. If they aren't your actual job, take a break to do something else you enjoy, just for the sake of enjoyment. Life's too short, man. If you ever get to a point where you're doing something you normally enjoy that you don't have to do and you're just not feeling it, do something else for a bit. It's better than banging your head against a wall going "I should be enjoying this! What's wrong with me? Why isn't this fun?" Could also be a symptom of depression, but I'm not going to try to diagnose over just a few posts.

Hobbies..... Ho boy... Video games collecting video games and gaming hardware Star Wars occasionally watching anime going to rock concerts (i've been to over 500 in the last 9 years)machiningelectrical design (I'm an Electrical Engineer)pinball (I own one and created a virtual Castlevania themed one) motorcycle riding karaoke (I have a local...-ish karaoke bar that I frequent and sing at pretty much every weekend) collecting old technology (think 70s-90s computers and vacuum tubes) photography collecting old cameras Collecting old movie cameras and projection equipment collecting records (vinyl) D&D (though it's been a while since I played) model building And last but not least live steam! Operating scale model live steam locomotives. And for those of you who don't know what that is, here are a pair of youtube videos! And here's about what it's like from my perspective. If you're interested in any more of that I do have a YouTube channel under the name JBEEUD that I put up most of my videos to. Most of it is live steam stuff but there's some other stuff too. Holy cow. That is a solid list. I was wondering how you could afford all that until I got to the electrical engineer bit 500 over 9 years is pretty darn impressive. How's your hearing after all that? You sound pretty social, what with the karaoke and rock concerts, but if you haven't played D&D in a while because you can't find people, there are sites that help you find both local players and online players.

500 over 9 years is pretty darn impressive. How's your hearing after all that? Actually not as bad as you might think. I don't have great hearing at really low volume (think like listening to someone talk quitely from across a large room) but I have REALLY good fidelity in my hearing. I'm not sure how, but my hearing has kind of developed an ALS of it's own. The down side is if I'm at an event that is VERY loud I either have to be able to see the mouth of someone talking to me or they basically have to talk in my ear. As a little kid one of my family's yearly things to do was to go to the local county fair for the first day and last day. Last day was the demolition derby. BUT the first day were the Tractor Pulls! VERY LOUD! VERY IMPRESSIVE! And I never did wear ear plugs. You think concerts are loud? Just wait until you experience the these things making the stand and YOUR CHEST vibrate just from the level of sound they put off. I still go every year to this day. If you are not familiar with tractor pulls look up www.ntpapull.com/ and THIS VIDEO [warning IT'S LOUD!!!!!]) Best moments are at: 1:10 - yes that's 4 supercharged V8s.... 1:29 - twin Allison V12 aircraft engines (B25 Bomber engines) 2:10 - yes that's 6 supercharged V8s!!! You sound pretty social, what with the karaoke and rock concerts, but if you haven't played D&D in a while because you can't find people, there are sites that help you find both local players and online players. Well, let me rephrase my statements. The karaoke and concerts I tend to go to by myself. Most of my friends are either not interested in those things or are currently raising families and have no time for such things but maybe 1-2 times every 1-3 years And as far as D&D goes, there are folks around me who do play... about once a month now, because they have families. But they also mostly do Fate/Core or D&D3.5+ I'm kinda old school. Everything I have is for 2nd Ed. and most folks around here just don't use that system anymore. If they do they tend to keep to them selves and be non-inclusive... But that's ok since my other hobbies tend to take up most of my time anyway.

Wow, so many interesting hobbies! Sometimes just reading/watching stuff isn't so bad for a time, it can give you creative ideas for future things and inspire you in different ways. When I lived north I remember that's all I used to do because the weather outside was pretty bad most of the year. The flamenco in certain anime is actually what inspired me to start playing flamenco guitar. I didn't do some other hobbies until I had moved south and had more time for other things. Thanks for all the replies btw, helps me remember people by the things they do

I'm also hoping to get into voice acting, starting with auditioning for fandubs. After having done VG commentaries for 8 years, I really wanna use my voice talents in a new way.
