I was suddenly hit with some nostalgia from that very specific time during the early 90s were short circuit off road racing was really, REALLY hot, so I've been listening to this sporadically for some time now. It helps that I have a lot of nostalgia for the game... and that the song is actually good.

Jacula - In Cauda Semper Stat Venenum
I like organ music, this also sounds really ominous for something from 1969, I like it.
Not my favourite organ piece at all, but it's good and atmospheric.
Probably the least exciting album on this thread, but to be honest, I really enjoy more relaxed or atmospheric music.
Whether it invokes a feeling of horror and wickedness, or if it's just more calm and tranquil, it's generally always good to listen at night.
Which is the time I enjoy most of my time, since there's less noise overall.

Here's two that I listened to last night. "Symphony of the Night" ~ Dragonforce (It took me a while to realize that this song actually is a tribute to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I actually thought the title was a mere coincidence.  ) "Despair" (also called "King of Ruin"; BGM from Super Robot Wars OG 2nd) Theme of the creepiest character in the game, Perfectio. |

Galamoth: that's a damn fine selection of VGMs. As far as I'm concerned, lately I've been alternating. In the last few days I've been feeling melancholic, but not too sad, so I settled on some The Front Bottoms. Awesome indie rock (with a touch of GOOD emo, and with that I mean the Sunny Day Real Estate kind of emo). Earlier, I was revisiting the more recent part of Deathspell Omega's discography. I mostly listen to various degrees of heavy metal (with an emphasis on doom metal, black metal and death) and DSO is one of my favorite bands. Totally unique, with twisted melodies and dissonances all over the place. Very avantgarde.

Scars Unseen: they are older comments, but I noticed them just now and I must say you have exquisite taste. Pain of Salvation are a great band, but especially Bela Fleck? That is absolutely classy.
