Galamoth I used to hate many songs back then simply because they were mainstream. Looking back, I end up liking them a lot. My taste in music is rather diverse because of it, when back then I strictly listened to edgy bands like Linkin Park and Korn, and the likes. Neon Trees, like, jeez, since when was the last time I heard that song on TV? I liked it, but didn't want to admit it because my sister was singing it on the top her lungs.

It's been a long time (11 years) since I last played & completed Chrono Trigger... and that was when both the DS port of this game and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia were released. I feel obligated to get back into it.
In the meantime, I've been listening to orchestrated rearrangements of some of the game's tracks by Malcolm Robinson.

I have been enjoying some Konami MSX tunes lately (which happen to be mostly from Hideo Kojima's games, as chosen for my post here. I also do like some from Nemesis, but maybe for another post later).  The first two here are from Metal Gear 2. The first one plays during the intro sequence and is awesome. This tune just sounds really good. I feel as if this inspired virt in creating one of the BGM tunes in Shovel Knight and my favorite in the game called An Underlying Problem. The next two here are from Snatcher. This is such a chill tune! This one has so much of an atmosphere of seriousness about it that is really amazing. It is the ultimate "thinking" tune. Last but not certainly least are a couple from SD Snatcher. The first song is heard toward the beginning of the game and is quite light-hearted and approachable. A contrast to the cyber-punk horror theme that this game is based off of. This song is here because I really like the sorta-weird main melody and I just like listening to it. It lightly tells you something is happening! Now I am wishing for an MSX2 cartridge version of Curse of the Moon 2

Discovered this song recently while on a Discord. The convo moved to old, crusty, and forgotten FPSes from the 90s and this titlecame up. The game ain't great (it's also apparently legal abandonware now, but don't quote me on that), but the soundtrack? HOLY SMOKES, its so full of great tunes!
