By the way, looking at some of the above posts, it appears that the "Edited by" line on edited posts has a 0 px right margin in the text box. In Rixuel's post I had to double check his user name because it looked like it was cut off.
Actually, it looks like that's the entire post box that's got the problem. If you look, you can see the white line at the top of each post extends all the way to the right, but not the left.

So, the updated Demo... I'm finding it hard to read the subjects on the forum and subforum pages now. That black gradient draws more attention to itself than the text, so my eyes keep getting drawn to it, even more so if I scroll the page down.

Yeah, I agree with Scars Unseen . try this gradient:  Its more subtle and should be closer to the demo menu in game as well. I like the new reply button though =] If it is possible to do a mouse over effect on the button, we should change the text colour to red, like the news bar. |

Yeah, the black lines are good, because the other way makes the grouping look weird. The way the gradient is placed makes it look the time of posting is above the rest of the post rather than right below it.

I like the black lines too. btw, I can't wait the demo theme to become the default skin for this forum There are only a few more things I'd like to get working for it, but after that I'd like to make it a default. Fangamer made a theme for us when we went official and I appreciate that enough to want to keep it the official theme. It was supposed to look like the website that never happened. I suppose this place serves well enough for a website so that hasn't been a priority. Even if it is a priority, I know ArtPlay would want to grab bloodstained.com from whoever is sitting on it before we get an actual site. The only thing we are sorely lacking is incorporating all the Kickstarter info and a wiki. |

Hey, XombieMike . There already is a Bloodstained wiki and I think it is run by someone who comes on the forum from time to time. I think his name is "Estebant" and he also works on the Castlevania wiki as well. The name of the founder and that guy's name are pretty much identical. The "Estebant" on this site, has a lower case "e" though. If that is the same guy, you might want to mention the wiki thing to him. He might be able to assist and you might be able to assist him. Or, you could go to the Bloodstained Wiki and ask there. It has the "Bloodstained Fan Forums" under affiliates so I wasn't sure if you knew about it or not. Also, the Demo Menu Theme is looking pretty good. |

Just changed to the demo menu theme.
It looks nice, though will take some getting used to. I have OCD, and I exhibit one of that mental disorder's symptoms of frequently being moderately opposed to 'new' things.
At least the new design soothes my OCD need to count things. There's a lot of stuff to count in those stained glass designs in the top left and top right part of the screen now.

Hover color to be red for reply and create thread buttons. Mobile version heading text color and menu for navigation is unreadable. Selecting a post turns background white. Border images around boards (if I can code it).

Hey XombieMike , sorry for the late response, but what you have done here is really awesome and no need for my hex value explanation you asked for.  I do want to point out and suggest a few things with how things are currently: 1. Poll selections chosen by user uses a highlight color which really clashes. My vote selection is shown with a white bg and grey text, which makes it look really odd. May I suggest vote selection highlight color be a dark blue and text be light blue/aqua? 2. Main forum page tends to load "cool-looking grey bg wallpaper image" within forum description area longer than I feel it should. Looks like the wallpaper image loads on top of the blue gradient image, and that sort of looks distracting. May I suggest reducing the resolution of the cool grey bg image so that it loads quickly and still looks cool at the same time? |
