Demons of The Lesser Key of Solomon

The two bird images look wicked. The first looks dastardly, imposing and unforgiving. However, the second one is predominantly a mutant man with a nightmare of a beak. Still, both of them would make terrific foes.

While horses have their place in many fantasy tales, the vast majority of them are peaceful, majestic animals and only a few are harbingers/omens of bad luck instead of being truly evil to the core. One theory I have with Bloodstained is if Miriam encounters a Unicorn with a very powerful crystal for a horn. This horn has tremendous magical capability or potential to oppose evil to those who obtain it. On the flip side, to obtain the horn, the unicorn must be slayed but killing it is an act of evil itself. I'm sure there could be a twist in the plot somewhere.

My big issue is with lions. Most lions I see in fantasy art & illustration, often look bored, torpid or miserable and seldom fierce. Take the demons Buel and Marbas for instance, the former looks like he's recovering from a hangover and the latter is losing a game of Chess. Some lions even remind me of Bruce Forsyth and John Wayne! Of the two lion pictures that you posted, the lion in the bigger image is strong and intimidating (cheers) but the one in the small picture looks like he's sat on a whoopee cushion.

Of the three animals mentioned, birds win hand over fist in my opinion.

 

Well, I recently came across an illustration on Google of a demon 'president' that I really like.

Haagenti is usually depicted as a cross between a bull and a griffin.  He commands 33 legions of demons, and grants wisdom to his summoners by instructing them on various subjects.  He can transmute all sorts of metals into Gold, and can even turn water into wine [and vice-versa].

Question is...if this particular demon is encountered in Bloodstained, will you have to fight him?  Is he a "good" demon?  Or perhaps he is amoral, just granting wisdom to pretty much anyone who summons him.

Perhaps he can aid Miriam with certain alchemical recipes, or just by transmuting any metal material she desires into gold.

This artwork was done by Wen-M on Deviant-Art.  I somehow happened upon this by Google-searching "Zagan".

Zagan is supposed to be a "President of Hell" with similar abilities to Haagenti, not to mention that his appearance is supposed to be similar...though I can't say that the head of the demon in this image looks like a "bull's head".

This looks like something that would certainly fit in the Castlevania series.

I wonder if any of the shield rod summons of me from the Lesser Key.

That was the one in specific that made me start to wonder. The others are probably not good candidates for investigation. Maybe the cow...

I found some nice images of "Paimon", one of the more powerful Demon "Kings" of Hell.  He controls 200 legions of demons...and he's always depicted as "a man with an effeminate face, often riding a camel".

If you ask me, Paimon sounds quite powerful.  In addition to teaching philosophy and various sciences, he can "reveal all mysteries of the Earth, wind, and water", unravel the mysteries of one's mind, summon familiars at the conjurer's request, and can bind a person to the conjurer's will.

So...potential Boss enemy in Bloodstained?

look up lesser key of solomon or ars goetia, its a list of 72 demons and its often one of the resources used in creating monsters along with folklore and mythology, there are a few enemies that have appeared in igas past games that borrow from these books like buer and vassago, and igas stated the books and demons in general will play a part in the creatures of the game so were having fun speculating what form these demons may take
