Bloodstained's E3 stream with IGA, Ben Judd, and Romscout showing off the demo will be going live within 20 minutes. Thought it'd be a good idea to have a place to share live reactions and post-stream discussion without getting pushed out of the shoutbox.
The stream is expected to start on Twitch's main channel.

Stream just ended. It was fun seeing Ben, IGA, and Romscout play and talk about the game, but I was disappointed by how the stream switched to only showing them on the couch for the last few minutes while Romscout was still playing the demo.
Still, it was neat to get confirmation on story details. I wasn't sure if Bloodstained took place in England or a fictional country, but now we know it's England. I don't remember hearing about how Miriam and her crystals act as a beacon for attracting demons.

It was good to see Ben, IGA and romscout on stream but real talk? The stream was basically:  Glad to hear romscout so enthusiastic about the movement. He made the game look a lot faster than other playthroughs (not surprising). |

I thought the stream was quite good, even though gameplay wss only half of it. Romscout should maybe have done it a little slower, since they cut out gameplay when he got to the area we have already seen in spoilers a day ago or so. But i hope what he did will get speedruners and people interested in castlevania games. Also a lot of Twitch chat thought bloodstained was a sequal to bloodborne.

hahaha, I'm so weird about this game. I took a Lyft ride home to get here earlier so I could see it, but I didn't even look at the gameplay directly...just read the chat and listened to the stream. I want to experience it fully for myself.
Yeah, 80% of the comments I saw were actually positive. I saw several "it's beautiful", "smooth", "game looks so good", "RIP Castlevania/Konami" comments, etc. In terms of twitch chats, I'd say the reception was actually very good. Anything derogatory was mostly just standard trolling that didn't have much of a complaint on the game itself, more like just "weeb game" or "zzz", from people more or less just not interested in the genre/waiting for Halo lol.
There have been very few negative remarks in general on Facebook/Twitter, etc. Out of 63 or so comments I read recently on a FB post, 0 were negative, with recently on a separate post the old "wish it was 2D" thing coming up again. Everyone is loving what they're seeing, and I'm loving that. That's what I want to hear and know right now, that the game is on track to continue being successful.
edit: All of this just makes me wish more that I had sprung for the $2k Runic Forge tier, man ugh. haha. Also, I am now delicious life-changing macaroni

It costs money to be at E3, and I'm sure Inti/Artplay don't want to frivolously spend our Kickstarter Bucks. E3 is a good way to advertise games, but Bloodstained isn't really at the "let's advertise this" stage. Still, since it's a Kickstarter project, it's nice to treat the fans who put so much faith into it, so it still makes sense to be at E3 to some extent.
