What is the origin of your name?

For the longest time I went by Freyt. This came from the thought of "Freya" as well as freight train. I just combined the two and ended up with that. Back in those days, I looked up "Freyt", and only found myself. Eventually I would look it up again, and find out it's supposedly a common last name overseas. It became more difficult to register the name for myself in different sites and junk. I started to think that I needed to change what I went by.

I never liked Maple Story that much, but I came up with "Freyt" due to needing a character name for the stupid game. It just so happened that I had made up another character name for another character. For a while I had spent thinking of a name, and I thought "what sort of unique names have I ever heard before?".

I took inspiration from a game called Phantasy Star Online, specifically for the Gamecube. In the game itself, there are robot companions in the game called "Mags". These mags don't really have intelligence, and they don't do much at all other than boost your stats, floating behind you. But they all look unique and have unique names. I thought back to the mag I had trained up to the max level. "What was it's name again?"

Now, this mags name is Apsaras. Definitely not Thrashinuva. I completely misremembered the name. The name of another mag had influenced me.

Now, this mags name is Ashvinau. Definitely not Thrashinuva. But it's close, right? This was the name i was trying to remember, and I just completely messed it up, UNINTENTIONALLY. You can see the resemblance, right? I basically only added a "Thr" and rearranged some letters, unintentionally.

However, it stuck. It was unique, since I somewhat completely made it up, accidentally. Basically if you look up thrashinuva, it's me. So far, as far as I know, no one else has used it, and I hope it stays that way.

I looked it up years later, Ashvinau that is. It's an indian god that takes the form of two horses. Twins. I'm a gemini and I was born in the year of the horse. I don't believe in fate, but it's an interesting coincidence.

My username actually originates from a character I created when I was younger. The character possessed a sentient scythe named "Shax." Only later did I found out that Shax was a demon in the 72 Pillars, an underrepresented demon at that. I also liked the design of Persona 2, one of my favorite series of games even if I've only played Persona 3 and 4. That more or less sealed the deal. Maybe a demon named Shax will appear in Bloodstained.

Long story short: it's easy to spell, easy to remember, and often isn't a popular name so I always get it no matter where I'm at.

My username comes from me looking around my room for a name, so I would try all sorts of names until I got to this one which wasn't taken. I have been using it ever since. Vifte means fan and tech is short for technology. So my username means FanTechnology. Been using it for around 8 years now. 

Back when I purchased my PS4 console back in late '14, I created a new PSN username at around the same time in order to transition from my old PSN name at what looked like a great point in time for me to do so. The PS4 happens to be a limited edition DQH metal slime edition and, being a huge Dragon Quest fan, wanted my new PSN username to be similar to the liquid metal slime which covers one of the usb ports of the console. "LiquidMetalSlime" was obviously taken, so I settled with "LiquidAzureSlime". Azure not only represents the color blue (my favorite color), but also calm and serenity, qualities I cherish and constantly aspire towards in my personal development and in my career.

No, this has absolutely nothing to do with MS and I'm not their employee.

So, once I joined this awesome forum, I chose the username "Clear" since it has a similar meaning to me. But another great forum I regularly visit, NeoGAF, has a user by the same name, and there seems to be some members here that may confuse me with their "Clear". So, I naturally added "Azure" to the end, making it as we see it today, "ClearAzure". Plus, abbreviating my name gives the US state I live in!

Once upon a time, my username was taken. I had this image stuck in my head because it was the image I chose for the character for a roleplay game.
