Croc to put it shortly there were no shortage of people in groups during that SG voting campaign that voted based on who they didn't want more than who they did. A lot of it started about half way through the first fan poll then the second it was in full swing with votes allover the place. I watched / read / witnessed a lot of backhanded shit on the voters end, not the devs obviously, who would group up and say they wanted to see X character get in, they wouldn't strait up vote for that character, they'd so stupid shit like vote for the one which that character had the best chances of winning a vote against. etc: That fan campaign was eaten up with those and since you were around for it I shouldn't have to explain how that went down. I'm not complaining about who / what we got. I got Eliza and Beowulf's not bad. It's not the characters that I'm worried about it's what I saw in the community during the voting that soured my taste on the matter. It might also be somewhat of LZ's fault for being so open about the process but I highly doubt that to be the case seeing as rational people don't tend to be butthurt or just do metavoting. TL;DR All in all I'm not against the process itself as long as the creators are aware and involved. Just setup the system where things like the metavoting aren't going to be an issue. A) Meta-voting is kind of a thing that occurs every time there is a vote of any sort so anywhere so *shrug*? B) I think you are way overestimating the influence a few people on a message board(s) being loud out of the thousands or tens of thousands of people who have a vote in any matter. C) At the end of the day, anyone can vote how they please. f we are given like a choice of 3-6 character who we could vote to be playable, how would you even meta-vote that? Let's be clear, 99.9% of people who would vote would just vote who they want in.

What if.. Instead of the "whole 2 castle request", people gets to unlock characters after finished, to proceed into the castle 2 more times, each with different pattern to make in their own order to meet Miriam, which might have been consumed after the first encounter of Gebel, and become the endboss or something along those lines.
Different pattern is key. Since that makes you feel you have new clues.

I would love to see a second castle with different room designs and enemies, having a second character replacing Miriam in the second half of the game is kinda a bad idea.. since Miriam is advertised to be playable from the beginning to end. more playable characters should have their own modes.

Yep. Miriam needs to be playable from beginning to end in both Castles in her [main] version of the story. Whoever the 2nd and 3rd playable characters are need to be playable from start to finish for their own sides of the story.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but I'd like the side characters to actually HAVE A STORY. Typically, the special mode of an Igavania game is just a fancy speedrun mode. I would love if the side characters had theres own story. DoS Julius mode extra dialogue was very short but still a nice touch. I would like it if we got a little snip bit of extra dialogue at each boss. Even this small amount of added story would be fun to see.

Yes, I do believe a few people including myself mentioned this detail. It's good to see you do so as well.

I did mean Miriam should be the one from start to finish. The other characters are the bonus, and when picked, Miriam is the endboss.
Two castles or One. It will be his biggest yet. I don't know what that means actually.
Is two castles a rumour or?

We don't know as of yet if there is going to be a 2nd Castle. If so? The development team would understandably want to keep this a secret for now.

Sounds good Galamoth. Hopefully the other characters can reach all the rooms as well, different routs or the same.

Remember how extra playable characters worked in Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64)? I think they should do it like that. Basically, you have only one character to choose from initially, but after you beat the game, you can choose a second. You play through the same castle, but do different parts in a different order. (Possibly even crossing paths with Miriam at some point.) It adds greatly to the replayability. In CV: LoD, you had different dialogue and often different bosses. How cool would it be if you get to play as Zangetsu and you enter a room where you had killed a boss on your Miriam playthrough. You find the room has been destroyed and the carcass of the demon Miriam killed is laying on the floor. Over the carcass is standing Johannes (studying it). He decided to follow Miriam after she left. He doesn't know who you are, but sees you as an enemy/threat. So you now have to fight Johannes in that room.

Outside of the main Miriam playthrough, Johannes could be fought as a "boss" when playing as Zangetsu [for 'story reasons']. Johannes certainly doesn't need to be the "secret final boss" for this to be a thing.
